Fr. Michael has been reassigned and appointed
as Chaplain to the Catholic residents and staff at
Marian Manor in Greentree, effective Monday,
July 15, 2019 and will reside at Our Lady of
Grace Parish in Scott Township. At the same
time he will be relieved of his assignment as
Parish Chaplain to St. Catherine of Siena, St.
Joseph and St. Margaret Mary. We wish Fr.
Michael all the best and will keep him in our
prayers.

MEMORIAL MASS, THURSDAY, JULY 11th @ ST JOSEPH - There will be a Memorial Mass on
Thursday, July 11th at 8:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Coraopolis for John Jay Michels.
John was a Navy Hospital Corpsman killed in action while serving with the Marine Corps in Vietnam
on July 11, 1968. John was a Sewickley resident and graduate of Quaker Valley High School. His
service photo is displayed in the Sewickley Municipal building’s parking lot. We invite family
members, friends, and area Veterans to attend.

May/June Diaper Drive
Last Call to Donate!
This Sunday is the last call to
donate any baby items for the
diaper Drive. Catholic Charities will be picking
up our donations on Tuesday, July 2nd. We
accept diapers, new and gently used baby items.
Monetary donations are also welcome. Checks
should b made payable to “Catholic Charities”.
Items may be dropped of in the entrances of the
church or in the parish office. Thank you to
everyone for your generosity.

St. Catherine’s Siena Hall For Rent
As party season is now upon us, we are reminding
everyone that Siena Hall is available for your
showers, Baptism parties and various functions. The
hall holds approximately 100 people. The fee is a
mere $65.00 for parishioners of St. Catherine of
Siena as well as parishioners of St. Joseph and St.
Margaret Mary. All others will be charged $130.00. If

MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT
ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA2.St. Catherine of
Siena is in need of more volunteers for the various
ministries. Our lectors, altar servers and
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are all
being scheduled repeatedly throughout the month.
Please consider volunteering your time to your
parish family. We could especially use more help
at the 5:00 pm Mass on Sundays. Many hands
make light work! Thank you for your consideration
in sharing your talents.

LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR
AT ST. MARGARET MARY PARISH
The Little Sisters will be at St. Margaret Mary Parish
after all Masses on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday,
July 14th collecting to enable them to continue the
work of their Foundress, St. Jeanne Jugan, in caring
for the elderly poor at their home on Benton Avenue
in Pittsburgh. The count on your continued support.

RECYCLING PROJECT Remember
to save your aluminum cans from
graduation parties and holidays. St.
Catherine’s recycling project is year-
round. We have a matching program in place with
the owner of the recycling plant. Thank you for
your dedication to this project. When dropping off
cans at St. Catherine, the receptacles are behind
the office/parish house. Together we ARE making
a difference. Benefits St. Jude Hospital.

The Big Buck Bonanza raffle is a very important
part of the success of the festival. Every ticket
sale counts. Each $5.00 ticket offers 9 chances
to win. Pick up additional tickets at the St.
Joseph rectory or call 412-262-6164to have
tickets mailed to you. Ticket stubs may be placed
in the collection basket or mailed to St. Joseph
Parish.

CLEAN-UP HELP NEEDED
St. Joseph Parish Festival.
Setup : Tuesday, July 16th &
Wednesday, July 17th at 6:00 pm.
Tear Down : Saturday evening after the
festival and Sunday morning at 9:00 am.
Help is also needed nightly to clean up after the
festival is over (10:00 pm)

BASKET RAFFLE
The Basket Raffle Is Back!
One of our most popular festival features has been our
basket raffle. Show off your artistic style and donate a
“one–themed” basket with a minimum value of $50.
Let’s make this year just as fabulous as in the past!
Monetary donations will also be accepted for anyone
wishing to participate but would rather have the
basket prepared by someone else.
Baskets may be dropped off at the St. Joseph rectory
at anytime during normal business hours (8:30 am -
4:30 pm). Please include your name, address and
phone number on a notecard attached to your
donation along with a list of items contained in the
basket.

LOTTERY TREE
Another great way to support the festival is by donating
Instant Lottery tickets (scratch-offs) for the lottery tree.
Pick up a few and drop them off or mail them to the St.
Joseph rectory. You may also place them in an envelope
labeled “LOTTERY TICKETS” and place them in the
collection basket.
