The Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time 6/25/17

The eyes of all look to you, O Lord,  and you give them food in due season.

Our commitment to Christ will be put to the test some  me in our life journey.  “Do not be  afraid,”  Jesus  assures  us  three  mes  in today’s  Gospel.  Though  He may  permit  us to suffer for our faith, our Father will never forget  or  abandon  us.  As  Jesus  assures  us today, everything unfolds in His Providence, under His watchful gaze—even the falling of the  niest sparrow to the ground. Each one of  us  is  precious  to  Him.  Steadfast  in  this faith,  we  must  resist  the  tac cs  of  Satan trying to confuse our rela onship with God the  Father  and  his  love  for  us.  By  the  gra‐

cious gi  of himself,  Jesus bore the transgressions of  the world, Paul tells us in today’s Epistle. In rising from the dead, He has shown us that God rescues the life of the poor, that He does not spurn His own when they are in distress. In His great mercy, He will turn toward us, as well. He will deliver us from the power of the wicked. FIRST COMMUNION PHOTOS: Congratulations to all the children who received their First Communion last weekend! To order your child’s First Communion photo, please call Sandi Krasowski at 767-0671. MARRIAGE LICENCES: All couples getting married this summer must bring the wedding license to the office as soon as possible. WEEKDAY SUMMER MASS TIMES: All weekday Masses said in the months of July and August will be at 9:00am, Monday to Friday. Regular Mass times will commence again in September. CHURCH HALL WILL BE CLOSED during July and August due to maintenance and cleaning. HOUSEKEEPING: Parishioners, please help us keep “the Best Church on Hills” the best. Returning the bulle-tins to our lobby for others to read if you are not taking it home, would benefit everyone. Also, remember that you enter a place of prayer when you enter the church and please be respectful of those around you who may be deep in prayer, pain or reflection. Socializing is most welcome in our lobby. SEEDS PROJECT: Thank you to all who donated seeds for our community garden groups.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support.

COMMUNITY
