The Green Warriors club of St Anne’s First Grade College for Women welcomed the UGC-

SERO on 9th September 2019 for Swachhta Seva campus Ranking.

A brief introduction about the various The Club was given to the delegates.

Details of accomplished and ongoing ECO CLUB(GREEN WARRIORS) initiatives were

explained by the coordinators and team members, followed by campus inspection.

The team had suggested and advised a few more environmental activities to be taken up by

the club and college for their future vision.

The inspection finally ended with an interactive session and feedback taken from the

students.

Date: 6-6-2020

The world witnessed a massive impact owing to the pandemic chaos. The Eco-club members

took an initiative to conduct an online activity of planting and growing saplings at the

comfort of their homes. A WhatsApp status was uploaded in order to reach the wider

audience to be a part of this strategy. This step brought in incredible responsesthat was

appreciated and participated by staff and students from various colleges.

TheWhatsApp messages were shared and encouraged many to become a part of the activity

which not only sensitized but brought in a sense of responsibility as individuals must follow.

The students took it as a challenge to follow the pace of nature and their dedication and

patience gave way to an efficient outcome.

The Government First Grade College organised a Webinar, initiated by the IQAC on “Bio-

Diversity: Need for Conservation of Habitat” on 6th June, 2020. The Eco-Club – Green

Warriors were asked to register and participate in order to become conservers of nature. The

Resource Person was Dr. B.S Ravikumar, HoD of Botany, AVK College for Women.

Sir, stressed upon the importance of conserving nature and as individuals we must take a

stand against violating the habitat of animals and birds.

The talk was truly insightful and encouraged every individual to take up the responsibility of

keeping the surroundings clean and respect the works of nature without causing any

disruptions in the circle of life.
