SSi wins 6 straight championships at K1 Challenge GP since 2014!

• SSi Racing School program combines the latest in simulation software (iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars & DiRT Rally) that many professional racing teams use in their driver development programs with on-track racing in a several different go-kart configurations. Example Beginner (Minimax), Intermediate (Sr. Rotax) and Advanced (Shifter Kart).

• We have developed an inexpensive way to introduce novice drivers to Motorsports in a structured and safe environment.

• Much like a flight simulation program we require our students to train a minimum amount of hours depending on their skill level and augment that training with several written exams.

• Once a driver has successfully passed our simulation tests and written exams our graduation process moves into an actual Go-Kart on a race track.

• Once at the track we continue our training in the real world on the exact same techniques as in the simulator.

• The defining difference of our program versus other Racing School programs are the significantly lower costs and the accelerated learning curve of the students.

The Founder

Jason Shadd is a former semi-professional race car driver, a multiple champion in karting and winner of the 1991 Skip Barber Racing School scholarship program that was awarded to only 2 drivers a year.

In the simulation or Sim Racing world he is also a multiple World Champion in several categories and the holder of multiple World Record lap-times.

He brings with him a wealth of technical knowledge relative to evaluating and improving driver skills, eliminating bad habits and improving overall technical bandwidth of aspiring race car drivers and students.

Team Partnerships

The successful results such as producing multiple champions in karting that utilized our program have attracted several professional race car drivers to utilize our facilities and driver development programs versus other traditional racing schools. Some of the common themes that we hear from them is that our program is significantly lower in cost while providing a more intimate one on one driver development. In 2017, we will launch our newly organized Scholarship program that will be awarded to 2 drivers that complete our program and win a “runoff race” in November of 2017. The winner will be awarded a test drive in a Formula Mazda open wheel race car provided by Parsons Racing.

The Simulators!

Our state of the art simulation facility successfully recreates the proper environment to ensure maximum immersion during training sessions. The steering wheel is the very same one used by many professional racing teams. We utilize the latest in simulation software and constantly update to ensure we are using up to date software. In addition, we have added vibration systems that successfully simulate the real-world distractions associated with road bumps, engine vibration and gearbox vibrations.

The racing pedals are all hydraulic and were converted from actual race cars to ensure the driver has properly developed muscle memory. The design also ensures proper seating posture and adjustability for drivers ranging from 5 feet to over 6 feet tall.

Future outlook

We have teamed up with Parsons Racing Team to develop a ladder system from simulation to go-karts to a Formula Mazda race car. The Formula Mazda is an official feeder series in the Formula Car Challenge and the Mazda Road to Indy! In addition, we will be conducting an annual driver shootout scholarship program awarded to one (1) or possibly two (2) drivers a year. The winner(s) will be offered a free test drive in a Formula Mazda race car provided by Parsons Racing Team with a potential to continue competing in the series. Our goal is to continue feeding the ladder series like the Formula Car Challenge. We believe it is an ideal place for an aspiring race driver as well as corporate sponsors that are looking to expand their marketing platform. The targeted demographic (Motorsports fans) statistically spend nearly twice as much as other sports fanatics and thus a higher rate of return on investment is very possible.
