Super-narrow, compact, articulated, with a top class steering circle, exceptionally powerful motor, constant traction and total safety, the SRX is capable of working on all types of terrain and can cope with all difficulties and uneveness in all conditions and climates throughout the whole year.

Reversible drive and elevated ergonomics make the task at hand easier by noticeably reducing the operator’s fatigue while increasing average operational time with a consequent saving of time and energy.

The SRX can quickly and easily change a large number of tools and pieces of equipment thereby enabling it to carry out a wide variety of tasks: ploughing on hills, crop spraying, fruit collection, barn maintenance, road maintenance, taking care of parklands, forestry, building sites and much more besides.Designed to satisfy the needs of agriculturists with specialised crops, especially those in narrow-rows, the fact is that the SRX is also a multifunctional tractor capable of carrying out a range of activities.

Modifying it is simple: the integrated system which is made up of power lift-hydraulic system-PTO allows for the rapid exchange of the most useful tools and pieces of equipment; If necessary different tyres can be fitted, the drive direction can be chosen via RGS the reversible drive system and the SRX does the rest.

It is amazing to see it working to an extremely high standard in any type of environment and on every type of terrain: the combination of an articulated vehicle’s exceptional agility and good engine power with equipment such as the cutting machine, fork lift, hay mower, sprayer, trailer, front loader, mower, grubber, disk plough, ripper, snow blade, drill, just to mention the most commonly used tools, gives the operator, situation after situation, the sensation of having a “special” tractor for all seasons.

ACTIO™ Full Chassis with Oscillation:one feature, many plus points

The System known as ACTIO™ consists of a powerful, steel section which forms an integral part of the axle, which houses both a front and rear transmission and has an articulated joint which allows for longitudinal oscillation of a good 15 degrees.

Essentially with ACTIO™ the SRX acts as a single unit made up of two completely independent tractors of the same mass and dimension which oscillate independently of each other following the contours and different gradients of the terrain, thereby maintaining constant stability and grip.

With its overhanging engine the total weight of the tractor can be redistributed - 60% of its weight on the front axle and 40% on the rear one. Ideal balance which becomes perfect when rear equipment is fitted: 50% on the front and 50% on the rear.

The ACTIO™ system provides for the use of four large isodiametric wheel drive which means a low centre of gravity and maximum traction. The constant grip of the tyres with the ground due to the longitudinal oscillation allows the engine to ground all its power with consequent advantages in terms of productivity and safety.

A TRADITIONAL TRACTORSRX TRACTOR

With the RGS™ system the Ergit SRX inverts the drive direction in 5 seconds. It is sufficient to release the block on the driver seat to make the monogroup, which consists of the seat-steering wheel-dashboard-pedal board, rotate through 180 degrees. The result is amazing: it not only does it offer a different field of vision but also the tractor’s operational advantages increase, because with just one tractor, the SRX, you can do many things well in very little time. The RGS™ system plays an integral part of the tractor’s multifunctionality, it simplifies the task at hand, increases accuracy and quality and dramatically reduces any stress to the operator. We really can say: 5 seconds changes your life!

Steering: First Class

The SRX is an articulated tractor with a short wheel base and is especially good at slalom movements and getting amongst narrow-row crops rapidly.It’s exceptional turning circle is markedly improved by disengaging the front axle; with a track of around one metre the steering angle is first class, whilst maintaining extraordinary balance even on sloping terrain.

The rear wheels follow the track of the front ones thereby reducing ground compaction to a minimum and allowing it to be used on delicate terrain without damaging it.

The hydraulically servo-assisted steering wheel is sensitive and assures great accuracy of manoeuvre and rapid disengagement in all situations: on slopes, with transverse speeds, in difficult situations.

ADVANTAGES

• Rotating monogroup, which consists of the seat-steering wheel-dashboard-pedal board = inversion of the drive direction without disrupting any connection.• Centre of rotation of the monogroup coincides with the centre of the driver seat = constant visibility of equipment in both drive directions.• Clutch and brake pedals are suspended from the monogroup and can be turned over and folded away = no need for two sets of controls; more space available for the operator in both drive positions; rotation effected without interference from the gear stick.

ADVANTAGES

• Articulated oscillating chassis with special central homokinetic coaxial double joint with double universals = extraordinary steering, low noise levels;• Internal steering radius 1.85 m (72.8 in), external 2.85 m (112.2 in) = on traditional tractors, by narrowing the track, the steering angle is limited, this results in two problems (1) a limit to the axle oscillation angle, (2) reduction in the steering angle, even if only by 10° - this can cause wheels to interfere with the panels, and also produces a larger turning radius.• Hydraulic system “group1”, completely independent, receives its power directly from the engine = serves first of all the hydroguide system and then the controls’ solenoid valves thereby guaranteeing that the steering is always power assisted.

The SRX’s ergonomics, like the rest of the Ergit range, focuses on achieving tangible results in terms of less operator fatigue-greater productivity. First and foremost its efficient, streamlined design allows it to easily penetrate the crops, guarantees easy access, provides more space for the foot board, protects and surrounds the operator, and allows for rapid inspection.

The driver’s seat and cab are positioned on a perfectly sealed platform which is “suspended” on Silent Block bearings which counteract against noise and vibrations and which reduce shocks while the tractor is moving.

The central posotion of the driver’s seat is allows an excellent view of the ground and the equipment in both drive directions (RGS™); furthermore it is positioned at the tractor’s central point of oscillation therefore shaking and transverse movements are reduced to a minimum and even after many hours of work there is no sensation of tiredness.

The instrument panel is amongst the best and is easy to read: there is a screen which by day is antireflective and back lit by night, an “on-off” information system (only the functions in use appear on the display), a digital speedometer and rev-counter for the PTO. All the elecrohydraulic controls are push button and near to hand.

“Star light” Cab:visibly in the vanguard

With its essential design the “Star light” cab can get between the narrow rowed crops without damaging blooming plants or fruits. The total living space in the cab is large in both drive directions. All surfaces, doors included, are completely transparent, allowing, in this way, perfect visibility. The rear panoramic roof, with a sun blind, and the front one allow complete visibility above, a necessary condition in case of use of implements such as the forklift or the shovel.The quietness in the cab is extraordinary due to the use of the latest sound absorbent material.

The curved bodywork is completely devoid of sharp edges (even the hydraulic tappets have been integrated along with the mudguards) and it offers: ancillary controls on both sides, a predisposition of a radio with speakers, a detachable number plate and rear view mirrors with controlled position.

The roof of the “Star light” cab has an opening which allows the electro-fan group to be lifted and to intervene easily during the cleaning or maintenance, without the need of extra equipment. The extraordinary comfort of the “Star light” cab opens up new horizons for the life styles of modern operators.

Safety:active and passive

The SRX has a powerful, integral braking system with internal oil bath disks which have a hydraulic control which does not suffer from wear and tear and does not need to be adjusted.The braking system is integral and while braking the tractor remains perfectly stable even with the front axle disengaged. This allows, amongst other things, homologation for speeds up to 40 km/h (25 mph) and the SRX is the first articulated reversible tractor with such a positive feature.

Again, the short wheel base and tight steering allow rapid disengagement in all situations; many available speeds and therefore a minimum gap between one and another ensure operational continuity in all situations; the electohydraulically controlled differential lock, which can be on just the rear or on both axles according to the situation, rules out dangerous sliding and gives the tractor superb traction and provides the vehicle with maximum grip.The roll-bar and cab frame, which are both homologated to carry extremely heavy loads, along with the central drive position, which totally protects and surrounds the operator, combined with the design feature of having no sharp edges completes the total picture of the SRX’s active and passive safety systems.

Its low centre of gravity, grip, power, execution speed, solidity, even its design all contribute to the SRX being an extremely safe tractor.The benefit of the ACTIO chassis keeping the centre of gravity low gives the tractor maximum stability even on very steep slopes: in fact in critical situations such as when the vehicle stalls or when it loses grip the vehicle moves laterally in order to avoid rolling over. Furthermore, the ample central oscillation guarantees the wheels perfect grip on all types of rough or sinking ground and consequently constant traction and optimisation of the power going to the ground.

• Synchronised gear box with helical shaped gears = longer life span of the transmission even with frequent speed changes; no locking during gear changes; low noise levels, wide speed range in logical sequence.• Many speeds available = better use of power; lower fuel consumption; reduction in running costs.

Transmission and gear Box:many speeds in logical sequenceThe SRX has a large, sensitive clutch which doesn’t require any adjustment due to the fact that the hydraulic activation makes up the slack which comes about through usage.

The SRX’s gear box with its helical shaped gears has 32 speeds, 16 forward and 16 reverse. In addition it has a synchronised inverter which allows the drive direction to be inverted even when the tractor is in motion.

Multifunctional Proportional Joystick “JPM”:all the functions are in your hand

The total system made up of the power lift- hydraulic system-PTO [E] means that the SRX can use a vast number of different pieces of equipment that can also be very large in size.The power lift is a vertical cylinder monogroup with a 3 point hitch with quick release catches; its pump and hydraulic system are autonomous. The lifting bars are adjustable and have quick release adjustable couplings.The electrohydraulic movements of the vertical tension rod and top link*[G] make adjustment of the driver’s seat fast and easy [H].

The front power lift* [F] allows two tasks to be carried out simultaneously. For example: front mower with rear crop sprayer (orchard), front cutting machine and rear milling cutter (vineyard), front snow blade with rear gritter (roadways in winter). The front quick release catches can be easily removed in order to allow the equipment to be directly stirruped to the chassis.

Electrohydraulically controlled, front PTO* [F] (1000 rpm) with its progressive engagement and safety switch does not need any maintenance. All the tractors from the Ergit Series have the possibility to be fitted with the power lift and front PTO even after purchase.

Machine/Equipment: harmonious technology system

The SRX offers the possibility of using a large number of pieces of equipment: on the rear, trailing and frontal, on the front and frontal with the greatest of ease an perfect control thanks to the integrated system comprised of power lift-hydraulic system- front and rear PTO. But that is not all: in addition to the basic version controlled by traditional levers, the system can be fitted on request with an electrohydraulic joystick proportional taking it to even further towards the cutting edge in terms of ergonomics and multifunctionality.

The proportional multifunctional joystick “JPM” [A], allows the regulation of the flow of oil to the hydraulic outlets and the power lift via the movement of the joystick’s lever. This guarantees absolute control over the speed and movement of the equipment.There are many different functions, always controlled by the hand, thanks to the coloured switches on the ergonomically designed control stick.

Flow regulator [B]: with continual flow selection activated by the joystick it is possible to regulate the quantity of oil going to the hydraulic motor of the equipment and to have the possibility of carrying out movements with both the lift and the equipment without the hydraulic motor losing revolutions.

Return flow [C]: the choice of speed of the lowering of the lift, whilst maintaining constant the upward speed can be regulated by the operator via the Joystick.

Black button [D]: external lift control in order to facilitate release of the equipment.

Hydraulic system:Maximum versatility

The hydraulic system from “group two” [I] is independent of the one from “group1” which operates the hydroguide system and the electrohydraulic controls. The basic 3 lever [M] system guarantees the functioning of equipment with hydraulic motors and rams movements even when used simultaneously. It is made up of 3 distributors: two double effect connected to the rear and one simple effect connected to the rear and one outlet for returning oil.The basic standard configuration is made up of 6 quick couplings on the rear.

ADVANTAGES• No interference with “group one” hydraulic system• Less heating of the oil• Constant speed of hydraulic motors

The front ancillary hydraulic system* [L] with its electronic control is made up of one simple effect distributor with capacity regulator, an outlet for returning oil and two double effect distributors. This system is used with equipment such as cutting machines, pruning machines, binding machines and shredders etc. To increase its efficiency it is possible to fit an oil cooling system from “group 2” (power lift-PTO).Numerous configurations can be achieved, up to 10 quick [N] engagement, front, hydraulic outlets.

The SRX’s completely independent PTO [O] is available in two speeds: 540 rpm and 540E (750 rpm).As standard, the PTO is synchronised with the speeds of the gearbox which can be set while the vehicle is in motion and this manoeuvre is indispensable when in critical situations with tractor and trailer.The PTO’s shaft is type ASAE 1 3/8 and is the same for all speeds.

ADVANTAGES• PTO shaft comes fitted with special chamfers = easy engagement of cardan shaft.• Speed 540E (750 rpm) = notable fuel saving• PTO is synchronised with the speeds of the gearbox which can be set while the vehicle is in motion = ideal for using tractor- trailers and other equipment.

The PTO clutch has electrohydraulic controls and progressive engagement [Q] with a safety switch which prevents the accidental activation of the engine when the PTO is on. It is made up of 9 synthesised oil bath disks and doesn’t need any maintenance whatsoever.

ADVANTAGES• Less engine load effect during engagement• Less stress to the PTO shaft• No effort required by the operator• Reduction in running costs

The electrohydraulically controlled differential locks [R] can be on just the rear or alternatively on both axles: by using the rear lock the possibility of dangerous slip is prevented whilst the steering remains free therefore enabling the path to be corrected; by using both locks simultaneously maximum traction is obtained.

The electrohydraulically controlled disengagement of the front axle [S] is useful for reducing the turning circle without damaging the soil and when running at road speeds. It provides for less wear and tear on the tyres, lower fuel consumption and less stress on the steering system. Even with the disengagement of the front axle the breaking system remains integral on all four wheels.

The SRX comes with a choice of three with a power range of 66, 87 and 95 HP (SRX 8400, 9400 and 10400).It is a direct injection, diesel engine which incorporates the most advanced combustion and injection systems which produces extremely high quality four wheel drive right from very low revolutions. It has a very safe and durable engine with low fuel consumption; its maintenance is cheap and easy [P] with its parts always being repairable. It is an environmentally friendly engine equipped with intercooler and EGR which was designed in full accordance with the CEE “PHASE 3A” law and is also compliant with European and the American EPA and CARB laws regarding exhaust emissions. Noise levels have been reduced to the bare minimum.
