SRI LANKA PAVILION AT INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR (IITF) 2016

14-27 NOVEMBER 2016, INDIA

The EDB in collaboration with the Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi, India proposes to organize Sri Lanka’s participation at the 36th India International Trade Fair from 14th -27th November 2016 in New Delhi, India.

IITF is one of the largest trade fairs in India both in terms of exhibitors and visitors. This event provides a platform for trade and industry for sourcing, finding buyers, business interactions, technology transfer opportunities and test marketing of products. This would be a good opportunity for Sri Lanka to maximize the benefits available under the Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement wherein tariff concessions have been granted to over 4000 product lines.

Twenty five foreign countries participated at IITF 2015. About 5000 business visitors registered to visit the exhibition during first five days of IITF 2015 while 40,000 domestic business visitors visited the fair during second week of the fair.

DATES & VENUE: 14-27 November 2016, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India.Applications are invited from Sri Lankan manufacturers cum exporters of following product sectors:

• Handicrafts• Rubber Products• Apparel• Gems & Jewellery• Ceramic & Potential Products • Other Industrial Products

EDB ASSISTANCE :EDB will provide 50% assistance towards space and construction of selected companies to exhibit at the IITF 2016

The duly filled applications should reach Director/Market Development, EDB before 07th September 2016 on the prescribed forms available at the Market Development Division, EDB.
