ABSTRACT Sri Elda, 2013. The Development of The Contextual Based Module on the Linear Program Material at grade XI of Office Administration Class of SMK N 1 Solok. Thesis, Graduate Program State University of Padang. Learning by using module has been implemented at SMK N 1 Solok. The model was still in general. without fulfilling the characteristics of good module, the material which was given to the student was not contextual. Based of the facts above, it is needed to develop a contextual based module. The purpose of this study to make a contextual based module which is valid, practical and effective on the linear program material. The research was developmental research which used 4-D: Defining, Designing, Developing and Disseminating model. The modul was validate by 5 validators, who are intelectual on match, on language and one of them is match teacher. Then, this module was tested to the students of XI AP1. The practical of the module was seen by observation, giving questionnaires and interview. The effectiveness was seen by observation and the outcomes. The data was analyzed descriptively. The result of this module was shown that this contextual module had fulfiled the valid criterian for didactic, construct and technical terms. The development of the contextual based module was very practical it was seen from observation, questionnaires and interview given to the students and also to the teachers. The module of the linear program materials was effective based on the students outcome. This research indicated that the development of the contextual based module on the linear program material was valid, practical and effective.

ABSTRACT

Sri Elda, 2013. The Development of The Contextual Based Module on the

Linear Program Material at grade XI of Office Administration Class of SMK

N 1 Solok. Thesis, Graduate Program State University of Padang.

ABSTRAK

Sri Elda, 2012: “ Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Kontekstual Pada Materi

Program Linear di Kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran SMK Negeri 1

Solok”.Tesis, Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Padang.

Pembelajaran dengan modul sudah terlaksana di SMK N 1 Solok.

Namun, modul yang ada selama ini masih bersifat umum, belum memenuhi

semua unsur modul dan materinya belum kontekstual. Oleh karena itu, perlu

dikembangkan modul yang berbasis kontekstual. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah

untuk mendapatkan modul berbasis kontekstual yang valid, praktis dan efektif

pada materi program linear.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan

model 4-D (four D) yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu; tahap Define

(pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan) dan

Disseminate (penyebaran). Validasi modul dilakukan oleh lima orang validator,

yang terdiri dari pakar matematika, pakar bahasa dan guru matematika. Modul

diujicobakan pada siswa kelas XI AP1 SMK Negeri 1 Solok. Praktikalitas modul

dilihat melalui observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran, pemberian angket kepada

siswa dan guru serta wawancara dengan siswa. Efektifitas dilihat melalui

observasi aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis

secara deskriptif.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis kontekstual

memenuhi kriteria valid untuk syarat didaktik, syarat konstruk dan teknis. Modul

berbasis kontekstual yang dikembangkan sudah sangat praktis. Hal ini dilihat

dari observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran, angket yang diberikan kepada guru

dan siswa serta hasil wawancara dengan siswa. Modul program linear yang

dikembangkan sudah efektif dilihat dari aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil

penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modul berbasis kontekstual yang

dikembangkan sudah valid, praktis dan efektif pada materi program linear.
