Distinguished Presenters
Dr. Jane Nelson Bolin, RN, JD, PhD
Jane is a Professor and Director of the Texas A&M School of Public Health Southwest Rural Health Research Center in College Station, TX.. She currently serves as Principal Investigator of a 4-Year HRSA funded rural health research center grant examining rural disparities and challenges in the United States. Dr. Bolin has served as PI or Co-PI on multiple chronic disease and diabetes grants, including Co-PI on a NIH-NCMHD P-20 dia-betes self-management study from the NIH National Center for Minority Health Dispari-ties. She was Co-PI for a NIH CTSA planning grant to conduct an investigation on the feasibility of establishing a Center for Clinical and Translational Science at Texas A&M University. As Director of the HRSA funded Southwest Rural Health Research Center at Texas A&M’s School of Public Health, Dr. Bolin has led several projects for the benefit of rural and underserved areas of Texas. More recently Dr. Bolin has served as PI or Co-PI on five cancer prevention, edu-cation, and screening grants awarded by the Cancer Prevention and Research In-stitute of Texas, (CPRIT), including: (1) Colorectal Cancer Screening in a Family Medicine Residency Program Serving Low-Income & Underserved: Translat-ing Research into Practice; renewed as an expansion and continuation grant; (2) Enhanced Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention for Low-income and Under-served Women Using Transdisciplinary Collaboration in a Family Medicine Setting; also renewed as an expansion and continua-tion grant, and (3) a CPRIT CHW ACTION grant.
Dr. Bolin received her BSN degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University (1978) and, after nursing school, attended law school receiving her JD from the University of Oregon in 1982. After practicing law for 13 years, Dr. Bolin attended Penn State Univer-sity and received in PhD in health services research in 2002. Dr. Bolin has been at Texas A&M since 2001 in the Department of Health Policy & Management.

Nicholas Bradbury, MD
Dr. Bradbury, a Diplomate of the Amer-
ican Board of Radiology, completed
medical school at Thomas Jefferson
University and a transitional internship
as well as residency in diagnostic radiol-
ogy at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in
Philadelphia, PA. In 2014, Dr. Brad-
bury completed a fellowship in Inter-
ventional Radiology at the University of
Utah and has been in practice at St.
Alexius Medical Center since. He greatly
appreciates the northern plains life-
style, having been raised as the son of a
country doctor in Blackfoot, Idaho, "The
Potato Capital of the World". For con-
ference attendees, Dr. Bradbury will give an overview of Interventional Radiology proce-
dures and how they fit in the North Dakota healthcare landscape, with focus on new treat-
ment options for common problems including for peripheral arterial disease (PAD), deep
vein thrombosis (DVT), and stroke.
Michael Schirado, MD
Dr. Michael Schirado is a radiologist in Bis-
marck, North Dakota with Bismarck Radiol-
ogy Associates. He earned his medical de-
gree from University of North Dakota
School of Medicine and Health Sciences in
Grand Fords, ND and his residency with
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. With over 20
years of experience in the fields of radiolo-
gy, Dr. Schirado will share with conference
participants clinical decision making strate-
gies that promote appropriate study selec-
tion for patients based on patient presenta-
tion and clinical findings.

Melanie Schlittenhardt, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Dr. Schlittenhardt is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. She has 15 years of clinical practice with the pelvic floor. Her areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, including uro-dynamic testing, biofeedback, electrical stimulation, Inter-Stim therapy and pessary placement. She also manages specialty disorders including interstitial cystitis, sexual dys-function, recurrent urinary tract infections, and vulvodynia. Melanie completed her undergraduate and graduate edu-cation at the University of Mary earning a Doctor of Nurs-ing Practice degree. She is an active member of the Socie-ty of Urologic Nursing, American Nurses Associa-tion, North American Menopause Society and North Dako-ta Nurse Practitioner Association. She speaks in areas of her expertise on a local and regional level. She is a pub-lished author in Urologic Nursing and a recipient of the North American Menopause Society-Pfizer Reporter Award.
Hope Schiele, LPCC
Hope Schiele is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
She received her Bachelors of Science from Montana State
University in Bozeman, Montana and her Masters of Counsel-
ing from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Hope's internship centered on clients experiencing physical,
emotional and sexual abuse. After graduating with her Mas-
ters, Hope took a position with the CHI St. Alexius Health Em-
ployee Assistance Program; for over four years Hope enjoyed
providing mental health counseling to individuals, couples
and families experiencing a variety of mental health disor-
ders. In this role Hope was also engaged in community en-
hancement activities including health fairs and developing
presentations on a variety of topics. Hope currently acts as a
Community Outreach Leader, providing presentations for the
CHI ND Violence Prevention Program. In this roles she’s had the opportunity to work with a varie-
ty of professionals and pre-professionals, providing educational trainings focused around the top-
ics of intimate partner violence, adolescent relationship abuse and adverse childhood experienc-
es. Hope finds it rewarding to empower those in the helping professions to challenge their percep-
tions of violence, examine the health impacts of abuse, and teach best practices for intervention
and prevention. Additionally, Hope stays at home full time with her two year old daughter.

Wendy L. Wright, MS, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, FNAP
Wendy is a 1992 graduate of the Adult
Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program
at Simmons College in Boston, Massa-
chusetts and completed a family nurse
practitioner post-master’s program in
1995. She is an adult and family nurse
practitioner and the owner of two, nurse
practitioner owned and operated clinics
within New Hampshire named: Wright &
Associates Family Healthcare. In addi-
tion, she is the Owner of Partners in
Healthcare Education, a medical educa-
tion company. She is the Past President
of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for
Fitzgerald Health Education Associates.
She is the recipient of numerous awards
and was chosen by the American Associ-
ation of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999
recipient of the New Hampshire State
Excellence Award. In addition, she re-
ceived the 2009 NH Nurse Practitioner of
the Year and the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award. In 2005,
she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; in
October 2014, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, and in March 2017, a
Fellow into the National Academies of Practice. She is the founder of the NH Cham-
ber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse
practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition to full-time clinical prac-
tice, she presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over
1000 conferences in 46 states. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the
State of NH Immunization Advisory Board. She has been a medical media spokes-
person for a number of companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print
magazines. Wendy is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area
of clinical practice and has worked on more than 100 malpractice cases involving
nurses and nurse practitioners.

This education activity will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval of up to 12 contact hours of accredited education. This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 12 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
Hotel Accommodations: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center for $91.00 +tax/night. Rooms are listed under the name of University of Mary Nursing Conference. Reserva-tions for this block must be made by May 4th.
