• inscribed into the UNESCO’s World heritage List in 1993

• the castle was rebuilt several times in the 14th – 15th century• it burned down in 1780• since that time it is a ruin

The castle was partially reconstructed in the 20th century.

According to the legend, a beautiful girl called Hedwigajumped off the castle tower due to unhappy love and the fear of the punishment.

Today we see her face carved into the stone wall.
