MARGARET KENYATTA, THE FIRST LADY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA, DURING THE 9 TH STOP CERVICAL, BREAST AND PROSTATE CANCER IN AFRICA CONFERENCE ON TUESDAY, JULY 21, 2015 AT 2:00 P.M. AT KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE, NAIROBI Thank you, Cabinet Secretary. Your Excellency William Ruto, Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Fellow First Ladies, Distinguished Guests, Good afternoon. We have come to the end of a successful 9 th Stop Cervical, Breast and Prostate Cancer in Africa Conference and I would like to congratulate all the delegates for a job well done. As the host, I am pleased with the efforts you have put in, in the last three days, to realise the outcomes that will guide the fight against cervical, breast and prostate cancers across Africa now and into the future. One of the outcomes of this conference is that you will be going back to your home countries with increased awareness about the cancers. I urge you to share this new knowledge with your colleagues and the public, so that we can win the fight against cancer. Your work complements our advocacy efforts to commit leaders in Africa and the world to support the campaign to expand access to prevention, treatment and palliative care services for people with cancer. We are not only focusing on government leaders, but also on private sector executives. We want to build stronger public- private partnerships among African and global institutions to improve access and the quality of preventive, treatment and palliative care services.
