Sun 17: Arrival in Copenhagen - on arrival into Copenhagen transfer to hotel. First Hotel Kong Frederick (2 nights)

Mon 18: Copenhagen (B) - enjoy a guided tour of the major attractions including the Tivoli Gardens, Little Mermaid, canal district and the colourful harbour. We also visit Amalienborg Palace and the winter residence of the Royal Family.

Tue 19: Copenhagen to Oslo (B) - travel by train to Gothenburg, then through the Swedish countryside before arriving into Oslo the capital of Norway. Comfort Hotel Borspaken (2 nights)

Wed 20: Oslo (B) - our four hour guided city tour covers the main sites of the city including Holmenkollen area and Vigeland Sculpture Park.

Thu 21: Oslo to Flåm (B) - we commence the famous ‘Norway in a Nutshell’ tour. We start with a train ride to Myrdal, where we board the Flåm Railway, one of the most beautiful and spectacular rail journeys in Europe. We cross the windswept mountain plateau, and then descend through valleys, lakes, waterfalls and forests before arriving into Flåm. Hotel Flamsbrygga (2 nights)

Fri 22: Flåm - the day is free to explore this beautiful little village which is surrounded by steep mountains, thundering waterfalls and narrow valleys.

If you are feeling energetic you might like to hike in the nearby mountains or explore the Aurlandsfjord and the Nærøyfjord. The Nærøyfjord is included in the renowned UNESCO World Heritage List and is the narrowest fjord in the world.

Sat 23 Flåm to Bergen (B) - our ‘Norway in a Nutshell tour’ continues today through to Bergen. We travel by ferry along the arms of the Sognefjord, then by public bus through the dramatic Stalheim Gorge before arriving in Bergen. Hotel Zander K (2 night)

Sun 24: Bergen (B) - in the morning we take a half day guided tour of the city including picturesque fish markets, the old Bryggen area, Edvard Grieg Museum and Troldhaugen.

Mon 25: Bergen to Norwegian Coast Voyage (B/D) - in the evening we board the MS Finnmarken for the start of our Hurtigruten journey along the Norwegian coastline. Outside Cabin with private facilities. (6 nights)

Tue 26: Floro to Molde (B/L/D) - as we sail past the West Cape, we are out on the open sea. The ship then navigates through islands before reaching Alesund. Distinguished by its numerous spires, towers and highly ornate buildings, Alesund is a town renowned for its beautiful art nouveau architecture. After the stop in Alesund continue to Molde - known as the ‘City of Roses’.

Wed 27: Kristiansund to Trondheim to Rorvik (B/L/D) - few large cities have managed to preserve their intimacy as effectively as Trondheim. You can spend time exploring the city on your own or perhaps joining one of the optional shore excursions on offer. In the afternoon, the ship sets a northwest course, passing the beautiful Kjeungskjær lighthouse and numerous charming islets and rocky outcrops. After passing through the narrow Stokksund, the ship heads towards charming Rørvik.

Thu 28: Brønnøysund to Svolvær (B/L/D) - we cross the Arctic Circle, in summer this means 24-hour daylight. We dock in Bodo where you explore on your own or join an optional shore excursion. Later this afternoon, the sight of the 1,000m high Lofoten Wall appears on the horizon. Tucked between majestic granite cliffs and white sandy beaches, Lofoten is an experience that is out of the ordinary. The charms of the Lofoten Islands are revealed in the small, picturesque fishing villages with their bohemian ambience.

Fri 29: Stokmarknes to Skjervøy (B/L/D): during the morning hours, we briefly dock at Risøyhamn, Harstad and Finnsnes. The ship then continues to Tromsø, `Capital of the Arctic´, for a prolonged stay. Many epic Arctic expeditions used Tromsø as a starting point. After an interesting day in Tromsø, we continue our northbound journey.

Sat 30: Øksfjord to Berlevåg (B/L/D) - enjoy magnificent sub-Arctic landscape as we cross the 71st parallel on our journey towards North Cape, one of the northernmost points on the European continent. After brief early stops in Hammerfest and Havøysund, we arrive in Honningsvåg, the gateway to the spectacular North Cape. The ship then continues north, sailing into the heartland of the indigenous Sámi people. We pass their ancient sacred site, the rock formation Finnkirka, as we approach our next stop, the fishing village Kjøllefjord. Here you have the opportunity to learn more about the Sámi people, as well as to explore the wonderful landscape.

Sun 31: Norwegian Coastal Voyage to Inari (B) - the vistas become more dramatic as we approach Kirkenes. We arrive in nearby Vadsø early in the morning and just after breakfast, arrive in Kirkenes, at 30° East, further east than Istanbul and St. Petersburg. Upon arrival into Kirkenes we travel by coach to Inari. Hotel Kultahovi (1 night)

Mon 1: Inari to Rovaniemi (B) - in the morning we visit the SIIDA Museum which stores the spiritual and material culture of the Finnish Sámi in its collections. Around lunchtime we leave Inari behind and travel by private coach southbound to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, through typical Finnish Lapland scenery. Hotel Sokos Vaakuna (2 nights)

Sun 14: Stockholm to Reykjavik (B) - transfer to Stockholm Airport for Icelandair flight to Reyjavik. Foss Hotel Raudura (4 nights)

Mon 15: Reykjavik walking tour - explore the history and culture of the Icelandic capital on this 2.5-hour walking tour. Follow a guide through the streets of Reykjavik and take in top attractions including City Hall, the Harpa Concert Hall, the Old Harbour, and the Sólfar sculpture.

Tue 16: Golden Triangle tour - this 8-hour day trip takes you through the fantastic landscapes of this isolated island with volcanoes, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers and hot spouting springs. See the highlights of the famous Golden Circle: Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Laugarvatn and Kerid.

Wed 17: South Coast tour - explore beaches, glaciers, and volcanoes along the south coast of Iceland on this 11-hour day trip from Reykjavik. Travel along the southern shores of Iceland with a guide and gain insight into the natural features for which the country is famous. Along the way, take in sites of interest including the Hekla and Eyjafjalljökull volcanoes, the islands of Vestmannaeyjar, Reynisfjara beach, and the Sólheimajökull glacier.

Thu 18: Reyjavik to Stockholm - transfer to Airport and board Icelandair flight back to Stockholm. Hotel TBA (1 night)

Tue 2: Rovaniemi (B) - in the morning we take a short guided tour of the Arktikum, a one-of-a kind venue for experiencing their way of life, culture and history of the North. The rest of the day is free to explore.

Wed 3: Rovaniemi to Helsinki (B) - we depart Rovaniemi by train for the journey to Helsinki. On arrival we are transfer by private coach to our hotel. Scandic Grand Marina Hotel (2 nights)

Thu 4: Helsinki (B) - the day starts with a two hour privately guided tour of Helsinki, visiting such areas as the historical centre, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, the Parliament building, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. Remainder of day is at leisure.

Fri 5: Helsinki to Tallinn (B) - we transfer by private coach to the terminal where we board our ferry to Tallinn. Hotel Metropol (2 nights)

Sat 6: Tallinn (B) - enjoy a half day tour of the medieval town of Tallinn. An experienced tour guide will provide commentary about Estonian history and contemporary life. We then take a walking tour of the winding, cobblestoned streets of the Old Town.

Sun 7: Tallinn to Cesis (B) - this morning we drive to Cesis, the third oldest city in Lativa, with a stop along the way at seaside resort town of Parnu for lunch (not included). On arrival in Cesis we enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, including a guided tour of the medieval castle. Hotel Cesis (1 night)

Mon 8: Cesis to Riga (B) - on our way to Riga, we visit the Gauja National Park and city of Sigulda. Tallink Hotel Opera Spa (3 nights)

Tue 9: Riga (B) - we enjoy a city tour of Riga. The Old Town will delight you with colourfully restored merchant residences, cafes and historical monuments like the Dome Cathedral, St Peter's Church and the Powder Tower.

Wed 10: Rundale Palace (D) - in the morning transfer to Rundale Castle for guided tour. This magnificent masterpiece of baroque architecture in the Baltic States is 70 km from Riga. It was built in the first part of the 18th century. We return to our hotel and have the remainder of the day at leisure.

Thu 11: Riga to Overnight Ferry (B/D) - we have the day at leisure to explorie Riga. Late in the afternoon we board the Tallink Silja Ferry for the overnight journey to Stockholm. Cabins with private facilities (1 night)

Fri 12: Ferry to Stockholm (B) - upon arrival in Stockholm, we meet our local English-speaking guide at the pier for a 4 hour city tour of Stockholm. Hotel Grand Central by Scandic (2 nights)

Sat 13: Stockholm (B) - our day starts with a two hour ‘Under the Bridges of Stockholm’ tour. We cruise the city’s waterways and sail under 15 bridges, through two locks and around idyllic islands. Afternoon at leisure.

Sun 14: Stockholm to In Flight (B) - transfer to the airport for your flight back to Australia or alternatively fly to Reykjavik for the start of your Iceland tour.
