In 11 chapters and 1200 images, of the highest quality and resolution, featuring special 3d printing, the author describes in minute details

how to use lithium disilicate by presenting clinical cases that he

has worked on in co-operation with other world renown clinicians.

The book Veneers by Attilio Sommella and Guerino Paolantoni introduces, thanks to beautifully depicted techno-clinical cases, the restoration of a single tooth or of more extensive rehabilitation cases. These restorations show the placement of one or more veneers with a high level of predictability that give the ambitious dental technician the ability to provide the aesthetic and functional needs that patients request.

To achieve success, when working with Veneers the techno-clinical team requires an extremely accurate execution that can be obtained thanks to a standardized system described in the book. By carefully

following the procedural algorithm outlined, the dental team will be able to perform minimally invasive restorations easily and free from risk.

Functional Esthetic DesignsAs technicians, our role is much more demanding today. We must have not only anunderstanding of each of the materials options and the technologies that can help us but also a clear understanding of the diagnostic communication process that will aid our dental partners in the future of our patients’ success. Implant restorative and larger case options will be a large part of our future. The successful technicians will have a great understanding of each of these and not be just a piece worker in the process. Our artistic ability and the knowledge of diagnostic communication will be the “key” to our technological future.

Peter Pizzi, CDT, MDT, FNGS, is a teacher of dental technology for 12 years and has found an easy transition into the lecture/clinician circuit. His personal appreciation and expertise on all phases of crown and bridge, porcelain, Implantology, muscle function and mandibular physiology have made him a source of knowledge and motivation for his peers to draw from. He’s been a technician since 1984, a business owner and manager of Pizzi Dental Studio Inc. Peter has lectured to doctors and technicians throughout the United States, Europe and Asia on several different topics.

Comprehensive Digital Solutions From Surgery To RestorativeThe goal for this program is to minimize the complexity and costs involved with planning and ordering 3D stereolithographic guides for implant placement and using CAD/CAM restorative options. A guided surgery workflow combined with patient-specific abutments will increase predictability and simplicity of the outcome.

At the conclusion of the course participants will have an understanding of:• Guided surgery concepts• The concept of prosthetically-driven implant surgery using state-of-the-art technologies,

including optical scanning• A simplified workflow using a patient-specific restorative option

In this one day hands-on course, Peter Pizzi, CDT, MDT will use natural teeth and photos to discuss proper layering and substructure design for zirconia based ceramics while creating an understanding of how to translate what we see in nature into our restorations. With an understanding of the new material options available and an understanding of how to use them intra-orally... You can create esthetic restorations. Learn firsthand how to design zirconia substructures and treat zirconia materials properly to aid in their ability to absorb and reflect light. Peter will show you how to create a working canvas through simple internal characterization process to create depth and improve the value of your restorations. Unlike many hands on programs, Peter's unique ability to motivate and provide insight to all participants, and to provide useful tips that can be applied immediately makes this program well worth your time.

Each day will begin with a short lecture, followed by hands-on demo by Peter.

Hands-on course Description:

This course will Focus on the importance of:

• Communicating color with photography• Understanding our substructure, including bonding, oxidations and design• Relating opacity and translucency to depth• The 'canvas concept' build method, and effects of enamel filtration• Proper use of mammelon and modifier materials• Tips for contour, surface texture and luster

Model and coping preparation for course:

Upon registration, Pizzi Dental Studio will send course model to registered attendee for proper coping preparation.
