Specifications ODAC.007.0016.E ODAC ® 34XY ODAC ® 34XY-xx This new generation of laser diameter measuring heads is available as an "RS" or a "DP" version with integrated CPU, in addition to the traditional "J" version. The RS and DP versions can communicate with a host computer via the RS interface or PROFIBUS DP. The ODAC ® 34XY can be integrated into virtually any manufacturing process thanks to its compact dimensions. Our expertise with laser technology and the high manufacturing quantity combine to make this a powerful product at an excellent price. The built-in processor allows the raw measuring data to be filtered as well as for the preparation of statistics and a choice of parameters and many additional functions. A proximity switch can be connected to the digital input, thus allowing the recording of the produced length. Over a separate RS service interface the parameters for the measuring data processing can be checked or optimized for specific applications. ODAC® 34XY-xxThis new generation of laser diameter measuring heads is available as an "RS" or a"DP" version with integrated CPU, in additionto the traditional "J" version. The built-in micro-processor allows the acquisition, the filtering and the evaluation of the measured values andcommunicates via the integrated PROFIBUS DP interfacewith a higher level system. PROFIBUS DP is designed forhigh speed data transfer at the sensor actuator level.

At this level, controllers such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) exchange data via a fast serial link with their distributed peripherals such as drivers, valves or intelligent slaves like ODAC® measuring heads fromZUMBACH.

ODAC® 34XY-RS can communicate with a host computeror PLC via the RS interface. A built-in processor allows the raw measuring data to be filtered, preparation

of statistics, a choice of parameters and many additionalfunctions. Thanks to a proximity switch input, the produced product length can be recorded.
