What is meant by speaking?

Speaking is the ability to say things and express ....thoughts aloud

It’s the productive skill in the oral mode. It, like the other skills, is more complicated than it seems at first and involves more than just pronouncing words. Speaking is very important for students. Through speaking they can exchange everyday information, ideas, opinion, narrate a story, make a rehearsed oral presentation, use correct intonation and stress, and maintain conversation.

Why do we have poor speakers of English??

1 -Dense curriculum

2 -Teachers focus on Vocabulary and Grammar.

3 -Final exams focus only on one type of speaking questions.

4 -Students don’t practice speaking .
