  • 1. STUDENT IDIt is very important to have your Student ID with you and displayedat all times when you are on campus. Students are required topresent original payment receipt (full-payment for the 1stSemester) to Campus Central (Block A, Level 2) to take a digitalpicture for the Student ID.

    2. PEDESTRIAN ACCESS CARDIf you are staying in PJS 7 area, or taking public transportation (i.e.the RapidKL Bus 783 or BRT) from home to Lakeside Campus, youmay apply for a pedestrian access card to gain access to the campusvia the pedestrian gate. To apply for one, please apply throughCampus Central portal, and come to Campus Central (Block A, Level2) to make payment and to collect your card.

    3. PARKING SYSTEM IN LAKESIDEFree parking bays are available at Zone H and Zone I in LakesideCampus. Parking fee of RM3 per entry is applicable to Zone J andbasement parking at the Boardwalk. The parking facility is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please look for alternative sites if all theparking bays are taken up.

    4. COMMUTING TO LAKESIDE CAMPUSThe means of public transportation available for commuting toTaylor’s Lakeside Campus are detailed in the pages listed below.

    5. DRESS CODE POLICYStudents must dress neatly with clean attire at all times. Studentsare advised to be mindful of the cultural sensitivities of others andthe academic environment.

    6. SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS ENVIRONMENTSmoking is not permitted on Taylor’s campus grounds. The SyopzMall is also a smoke-free mall except for the designated smokingarea located at LG2 (in front of Happy Wash). Students foundsmoking on campus grounds will face the below consequences:

    First-time offenders will be given a verbal warning and their detailswill be recorded in a database by Student Welfare Centre.

    For a second offence, the student will be fined RM50 and receive awarning letter from the College.

    If a third offence is committed, the student will be fined RM100 andbe subjected to disciplinary action.

  • Note :For those taking RapidKL 783 Bus or BRT, you need a Pedestrian Access Card to enter the Campus.Please refer to page 3 (Arriving at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus), point no. 2 for details.

    Students may commute to Taylor’s Lakeside Campus using public transportation such as BRT Sunway Line (SunMed Station), KTM Komuter(Sentul – Port Klang Line), LRT (Kelana Jaya Line), Rapid KL 783 bus (from Kelana Jaya), or using the Taylor’s shuttle buses.

    THE ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

  • New international students are to report to the Student Welfare Centre after their arrival inMalaysia (refer to the schedule and calendar below).

    The Group Reporting is specifically organised for all new international students. Briefing onimportant information such as key contact numbers, immigration rules and regulations and healthinsurance coverage will be conducted.

    The schedule is as follows:

    9:15am Arrival of students at Student Life Centre (Block B, Level 1)9:30am Group Reporting10:00am Briefing10:30am Medical Screening

    We have scheduled different sessions (highlighted in RED) to cater for different arrival date.Come for the next available session (9.15am) right after the day you arrive. You only need toattend one session.

    ORIENTATION HELPDESKOrientation Leaders will be around if you need any assistance. You may also contact us via WhatsApp at +6 0115699 3387.

    STUDENT IDStarting Monday (17th February) onwards during orientation week, at 0900 - 1700All students are required to have their digital photo taken for Student ID printing. You can take your digital photo atCampus Central during Orientation Week by presenting your original payment receipt (full-payment for the 1stSemester). Your Student ID will be ready for collection one (1) working days after you have taken your digital photo.

    THE JOURNEY AHEADMonday, 17th February at 0945The Journey Ahead session will provide students with a taste of the activities that will be delivered during the ‘Start It Right’ 2020 program. This includes short sessions on design thinking and life skills.

    CAMPUS 101Monday, 17th February at 1415Campus 101 captures key and vital information which will help new students in taking the first step towardstransitioning into the campus life with enriching experiences. The session will help students to know the keyservices provided on campus.

    SAFETY FIRSTMonday, 17th February at 1430All students are required to attend this workshop where they will be made aware of the environmental, health,safety and security requirements to be followed within and around the Lakeside Campus.

    KL FAMILIARISATION TRIPSaturday, 29th FebruaryThe Kuala Lumpur Familiarisation Trip aims to help students to get to know more about the local transportationsystem, the local delicacy and the uniqueness of our urban city. It is open to all students of Taylor‘s especiallyinternational students who would like to experience KL City first hand.
