Displays: GreenStar™ 3 2630

John Deere Constituent Sensing – With Software Update 12-2, HarvestLab™ provides the capability to measure moisture and constituents in corn such as starch, protein and ADF/NDF. These constituents will be measured in real time on the John Deere Forage Harvester as well as on the stationary unit with the turn table. The totals will show on the GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display and can be transferred to desktop software. Constituent maps will only be available on the desktop software. (North America and Australia)

New Features

Necessary components:

• GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display with Software Update 12-2 • Latest software update on HMS Controller (Version 3.40A) • HarvestLab™ sensor with the latest software (Version 42) update and the calibrations loaded

and activated on the HarvestLab™ sensor.

ISO Task Controller Enhancement – The GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display now fully supports the use of two ISO Task Controllers on the same implement CAN Bus. The GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display will document up to four operations, four prescriptions (Rx’s), and John Deere Section Control on both ISO task controllers. This functionality is only available on the GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display with a GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry and SeedStar™ 2/SeedStar™ XP planter. No additional ISO Task Controller combinations are approved at this time. (South Africa, South America, Mexico, North America and Australia) John Deere Implement Detection – With Software Update 12-2, data such as offsets and widths that are written in Apex desktop software will be transferred to the implement controller (SeedStar™ XP, John Deere Implement Detection Controller), leading to more consistent datasets. (All Regions)

John Deere Remote Display Access and JDLink Controller (MTG) Software Compatibility – In order to use John Deere Remote Display Access, it is currently required to have GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display software version 3.10.1390 (Software Update 12-1) and MTG software version 7.1.370.

• If the GreenStar™ 3 2630 Display is updated to 3.13.1320 (Software Update 12-2), the MTG must also be updated with software version 8.1 to be compatible with John Deere Remote Display Access. Resolved/Informational Items

StarFire™ 3000 Receiver

SF2 Option When Mobile RTK is Unavailable in Europe – If Mobile RTK loses corrections and times out of RTK-Extend, there is an option to revert to SF2 correction mode. This option may be enabled by a checkbox on the setup page of the receiver. (Europe)

Resolved/Informational Items

• There is no SF2 subscription fee for this service. If the checkbox is marked, the system

will transition from RTK to RTK-Extend to SF2 and back to RTK, without disengaging AutoTrac™. The receiver may operate in SF2 for up to 14 days before requiring a connection to RTK again. Please see the operator manual for more information. Note: If sub-inch RTK accuracy is required at all times, this feature should not be used.

RTK Base Station Quality Indicator Improvement – With Software Update 12-2, diagnostic addresses 140-142 indicate in centimeters the average drift of the base station position over the previous 24 hours. Values will indicate if the base station receiver is experiencing shading or multi-pathing. (All Regions)

(Select Regions Only)

New Features

• John Deere Machine Communication Radio – This new product provides wireless

networking capability for machines using John Deere Machine Sync.

• The Adaptive Curve feature has been changed to allow the following capabilities: o When approaching a corner that was recorded in a loop pattern, the white tracking

line will end at the intersection of the loop.

o When the machine reaches this intersection, AutoTrac™ will disengage.

The visual bar graph indicator for bin level will also appear as "full" on the main GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry run page. The number will count down as the bin empties and the bar graph indicator will stay at the full level until the calculated bin heaped capacity is reached. (South Africa, South America, Mexico, North America and Australia)

(South Africa, South America, Mexico, North America and Australia)

• The Implement Name in GreenStar™ should reflect the Implement Name in the GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry.

• The offsets entered for a given Implement Name will be saved to that name and will not revert to default measurements unless the Implement Name is changed on the GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry.

• Offsets in GreenStar™ will need to be adjusted each time a new Implement Name is created on the GreenStar™ Rate Controller Dry.

SSooffttwwaarree UUppddaattee 22001122--22 Release Notes
