month aswereachouttothelocalcommunity and prepare for upcoming
activities.TheawesomeSeaHawkteamhasbeen
involvedinmanyoutreachesincluding the Dragon Boat Races, an annual
event thatsupportstheChildrensMiracle
Networkprogram,pediatric-related equipmentandtechnologyat
CHRISTUSSt.PatrickHospitalalong withhealtheducationprograms
throughoutSouthwestLouisiana.The Sea Hawks had the opportunity to
help withconstructionatalocalchurch.We
providedfoodandchildrensactivities at a student field trip to an
airport where children learned about aircraft.The Sea
HereatPortMercy, studentshadmaritime andBibleclasses,learned
workskills,consolidated goodstomakespacefor our disaster relief
supplies aswepreparefor hurricaneseason,worked on Friend Ship
Integrity to makeitreadyforthe medicalmission,gave
assistancetomechanics performingour helicoptersannual check-up and
conducted a variety of other important projects.Plans for the
medical missions to Honduras, Haiti and Cuba are shaping up
nicely.In Haiti, we determined to bring the ship in at the port of
Cap-Hatian and move our field clinic to a city called Fort Libert
near the border with the Dominican Republic.This is a very poor
area that will be a
hugeblessingtoassist.WeareworkingtherewithPastorBoMelinfromAlaskawhohasan
ongoing ministry to Haitian church leadership and he is organizing
for our team to work with local youth to identify the neediest of
patients and arrange for them to be treated.What a thrill it
willbetooffermedicalservices,ministertochildren,provideprayer,foodandmanyother
services to the Haitians.We are busy now locating sources for
medicine to treat the 7500+patients we expect to treat throughout
the mission along with the diesel fuel, medical supplies, equipment
and food items we will require. Plans for the Jerusalem Call Israel
Conference in November are firming up.We have booked the 2000 seat
Rosa Hart Theatre at the Lake Charles Civic Center for November 9
th & 10 th.One of
ourkeyspeakerswillbeAmbassadorRanIchay(formerIsraeliAmbassadortoKazakhstan).
CurrentlyAmbassadorIchayisservingasSeniorDeputyDirectorGeneralforPrimeMinister
Netanyahu.BarryandBatyaSegalfromJerusalemwillprovidemusic.TheSegalsaretalented
and anointed musicians who also operate Joseph Storehouse, an
effective ministry to the poor. US
