Online proofi ng ‘Bulletproof’ makes it secure and effi cient
Why not just proof via email?Let’s think about the drawbacks. When you email a PDF proof,
you’re running a risk that the client may take it and order via any of
the low cost online printers.
Of course, you could make a low resolution or watermarked
version to ‘secure it’, however in doing so you’ve added an extra
stage of administration with every proof. This reduces your
effi ciency.
Bulletproof – simple and secureBulletproof is the W3P way of proofi ng. Bulletproof makes the
process simpler and quicker for you and your client.
Instead of having to remember log in details and passwords, your
client accesses their proof via a ‘token’ embedded in an email,
automatically generated by W3P, instead of having to remember
log in details and passwords. This means that accessing their
proof is just as simple as clicking on the link in the email.
You enjoy peace of mind knowing your client is accessing a
proof that provides them with the necessary detail, but is not in
a format that could be sent to your competitors. If the proof is
downloaded, a watermark is automatically added.
Proofi ng Problem 1:Hi-res PDF proofs risk the job being printed elsewhere
Proofi ng Problem 2:Watermarked PDF proofs means additional workload with every order
W3P Proofi ng Solution:Simple and secure for you, easy for your client to use

W3P – management information systemsOK, workfl ow in itself isn’t exciting. But the reality is, that by
streamlining your workfl ow every order can be more effi cient
and more profi table.
Administrative time is expensive. With print run lengths reducing
and average order values falling, the administrative burden of
each order is eating into more of your profi t margins.
W3P manages your workfl ow. Whether the order originates
online or offl ine, W3P makes the order cycle transparent,
traceable and effi cient.
W3P provides numerous reports and performance indicators.
Scrutinise the information per job or per client, per week or per
month. Use these tools to optimise your productivity and profi t.
W3P communicates with Sage accounting software. Client
details can be imported directly into W3P from Excel, speeding
up the set-up process. You can also export data from W3P in an
open format.

Auto-prefl ightSave 20 minutes per job on client supplied fi les
Why prefl ight?W3P prefl ight is designed to help you process supplied fi les
for fl yers, leafl ets, business cards etc that are intended to be
produced in process colour.
It identifi es common problems such as unintended spot colours,
low resolution images, RGB images and the absebce of bleed.
W3P auto-prefl ight has been confi gured to standard industry
tolerances for bleed, ink limit and the like. W3P prefl ight works
with Marketplace products but is equally well suited to supplying
fi les for in house production or outsourcing to a third party.
Upload your fi le. W3P interrogates your fi le. It makes intelligent
changes for you to accept or decline, e.g. adding bleed. When
certain other problems are encountered, W3P reports back via a
‘results of your fi le check’ screen.

W3P In-HouseConnects with your in-house production
W3P – orders routed to your own productionSpecify the products that you produce in-house, the stock you
print them on, the inks you use, and the turnaround.
Make these products available to your clients, enabling them to
order online via their dashboard.
Web-2-print direct to your pressVia web-2-print templates, orders can be directed to your own
in-house production. It’s simple to use. The web-2-print templates
are ‘paired’ with your in-house products.
Having made ammendments to their web-2-print template,
your client then orders the products you have created. The W3P
system then produces a print ready PDF for integration within your
production workfl ow. Alternatively your client can upload their
own PDF.
Pick ‘n’ Pack W3P In-House also supports Pick ‘n’ Pack, or fulfi llment
management, to give it its more formal title. This allows a large
quantities of stock items to be called off in smaller quantities by
your client.
The W3P Pick ‘n’ Pack module gives you a simple and reliable
process to manage stock items.

W3P – 3rd generation web-2-printIntuitive, simple editing for your client
Web-2-printWeb-2-print is about making client specifi c templates, which can
be edited by your client online.
At a simplistic level, web-2-print could involve your client making
changes to their business cards online for new members of staff.
At a strategic level, the web-2-print system could involve you
installing a sophisticated print buying system for a major multi-
site client. Such strategic web-2-print systems build very ‘sticky’
relationships between you and your client.
The problem with legacy web-2-print‘1st generation’ web-2-print used ‘side boxes’ for the editing.
The user experience for the client was too limited. This restricted
the use of web-2-print for fl yers and leafl ets - higher value print
orders.
‘2nd generation’ web-2-print enhanced the user experience
allowing the client to edit more intuitively ‘on-document’.
However building the templates for the printer or agency was a
time consuming and cumbersome task.
3rd generation web-2-printW3P is 3rd generation web-2-print. This means that building
templates is quick and easy. Typically, building a template takes 10
minutes from an InDesign fi le. Learning to make templates is also
simple (2 hours), as the technology in centered on the designer’s
existing InDesign skill set.
Editing directly on the template makes W3P more suitable for higher value print jobs

Getting started with web-2-printBusiness card reorders for corporate clients
Ideal for business card reordersBy offering online business card reorders with simple to make 10
minute templates, your business enjoys a clear competitive edge.
Job-by-job, this removes the unnecessary admin costs from what
is a relatively low value order.
Online business card reordring is best targeted towards clients
with more than 10 employees. Local lawyers, accountants,
surveyors, recruitment fi rms, estate agents and indeed any sales
focused company, provide an ideal target market.
Indeed, online business cards could prove the ideal ‘door opener’
with a client of this type. It provides the opportunity to then
sell your other high value creative and graphic services in the
traditional offl ine manner.
Templates can also be set up for fl yers, booklets, stationery etc.

W3P for £100k+ key accountsIdeal for multi-site businesses and franchise networks
Target high value clientsW3P provides you with the web-2-print functionality to
support client accounts in excess of £100,000 per year.
To faciliate larger clients, W3P includes the facility for
branded client portals. This means that your client signs
in to a portal that has been branded with their corporate
colours and logo.
Setting up a client system of this magnitude may appear
daunting. However W3P provides all the necessary
structure. For multi-site clients, additional powerful tools
are available.
Large web-2-print systems of this type often require
upwards of 50 templates. As W3P features 10 minute
templates (versus 1-2 hours in other systems) it gives you a
real competitive advantage.
Web-2-print is ideal for multi-site businesses
Web-2-print clients also generate signifi cant design and offl ine orders

Expand your offeringAside from the software functionality, W3P gives you access to the
printing.com ‘Marketplace’. Marketplace is the entire printing.com
product range at trade price.
Whether you use Marketplace or not is your decision.
Marketplace is centered on urgent, awkward, low volume printing
orders that sit between the traditional digital and litho offering.
We manufacture to a very high specifi cation, tight tolerances
on press along with hi-defi nition stochastic (FM) screening as
standard.
Marketplace trade prices are private, and reserved for bonafi de
grahics professionals. We’d be happy to provide further details of
Marketplace pricing upon request.
Marketing Collateral & Offers
W3P partners who use Marketplace also have access to
unbranded ‘white label’ marketing collateral. This includes an ‘end
client’ buying guide which contains recommended retail prices.
Of course, using this buying guide or indeed the recommended
prices is optional. Generic, unpriced product samples are also
available.
On a monthly basis, Marketplace features various discounted and
half price deals. Again, an option that is available to W3P users.

FAQs
Who is W3P for?
W3P is for graphic designers, web designers, sign companies, print
brokers and printers themselves. W3P is software that adds web-2-print
and other online functionality.
What platform does W3P run on?
We host W3P servers and manage back-up, maintenance and
contingency. All you and your client need to run W3P is a modern web
browser.
Does W3P run on tablets?
Most functionality does run on tablets and mobile devices, except for
the template editing process itself which is centered on Flash. Given
that template order values are typically £30-£300, we believe it is less
likely the client would edit a template of this value via such a device.
However, the W3P road map for 2013 includes ‘HTML5’ fucntionality for
the editor, opening up unrestricted tablet use.
Can I work part time?
Yes, this is your business, not a franchise, so you can operate how you
want.
What happens if you fail to deliver an order on time?
Our on-time success rate is 99.8%, that’s up 0.1% on last year. This year
we’re determined to make our service even more assured. When we
do fail, there is a predetermined scale of recompense that refl ects the
primary loss and administrative burden.
There’s a printing.com outlet near me, can I still be a W3P partner?
Under certain circumstances we may be restricted by legacy
agreements. Of course, we must be respectful to our obligations to
existing partners. In such cases, the best course of action would be to
pick up the phone and we’ll talk you through the best options.
Do I have to share my client data with you?
To get the best value from the system, for example online client portals,
you’ll want to input your client data. For the avoidance of doubt, all
client data and the like entered onto the system by W3P partners
remains the exclusive property of the partner.
Is W3P like a franchise?
No - W3P is web-2-print, workfl ow, proofi ng, prefl ighting, ordering
centrered software solution. Sure, it’s used by printing.com franchises
and other partners internationally, but now the W3P formula is available
to use your way, with your brand, your production and your suppliers,
without long term obligation.
How long am I tied in for?
An initial term of 12 months, with 3 month’s notice thereafter.
I don’t have a shopping cart function on my website, will W3P provide
this?
Yes, that’s what the Orderlink function of W3P does. You can set up
log-ins online for all your clients, or microsites for larger accounts.
Which payment providers does W3P work with?
Presently W3P is confi gured to work wtih World Pay, with whom we have
negotiated very preferential rates for our partners. It is likely that one
other payment gateway will be added during the fi rst half of 2013.
What other costs are there?
All the prices for the use of W3P are set out in the table on page 19.
We recommend that W3P partners also buy Enfocus Instant PDF. This
dovetails with the existing prefl ight functionality and extends the
prefl ighting fucntionality.
Will you help me fi nd £100k accounts?
As well as the tactical training we provide on webinars, we provide
strategic training, delivered regionally. This includes selling to larger
companies and managing larger accounts. Terms of engagement,
service level agreements, along with presentation skills are covered.
Do you sell direct?
W3P is a division of printing.com plc that makes the software.
Printing.com sell mainly through franchised resellers, but operate eight
printing.com outlets themselves which are used to pioneer and develop
the formula.
What branding will be visible to my clients?
Just yours. This is designed to be ‘white label’. During a formal
tender process (with a large company or public sector) if it assists you
(and subject to our consent) then you may disclose the printing.com
relationship allowing you to cite printing.com’s ISO9000, 14000 and FSC
registrations.
What payment terms can I have?
For the W3P Concession deals, the monthly fee and the system charges
are charged monthly by direct debit. Payment terms of 30, 45 or 60 days
will be offered depending on status
Can I use any font I like in the templates I build?
Yes you can, although any editable text needs to use a font that has
been uploaded to our InDesign server and is licensed for use in an
online environment (more complex and costly than a normal desktop
license). We have over 1300 fully licensed fonts available for W3P
partners to use in their templates.
