We sells gently used clothing and other items at low prices to help those struggling to make ends meet. People in need can also obtain a voucher from MCUM to shop at Opp house for free. We have been in business for 50 years. About the Social Media / Marketing Internship This intern will work to increase and maintain social media platforms, advance communication and marketing for shoppers, donors, and volunteers, and will develop and maintain promotional and informational online and hard copy materials to expand our reach. Responsibilities Create and publish social media content Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase public awareness of Opportunity House through social media platforms, local media etc. Create online promotions of sales and stock Using social media, market to IU students Update marketing materials Train staff in use of social media platforms Distribute, post marketing materials Compile an end of internship report, to include accomplishments and recommendations Qualifications Must be proficient in social media outlets. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Photography experience A high level of professionalism, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail. Must be able to work independently and creatively Junior or Senior preferred Marketing background preferred Schedule

About the Social Media / Marketing Internship

Schedule

• Summer 2018 and/or Fall 2018 – dates to be negotiated with candidate • Hours and days flexible within the store hours of 10-3pm Mon-Sat but to include at least

2 weekday afternoons per week. • Must complete at least 120 hours over the course of the internship
