Junior Travel Ambassador
Our School Council members from year 5 and year 6 attended a JTA
podcast workshop on Tuesday 29th October where they were reminded about safe, active and
independent travel. This was a fun and engaging way to spread important messages and build skills for life.
Year 4 Narnia Experience
Please support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal! The following items are on sale in our school office:
Eraser: 50p Reflector poppies: 50p Pencil sharpener: 50p
Pencil: 50p Snap rulers: £1
Ruler: £1 Wrist bands: £1
Poppies: minimum 50p Metal Badges: £3
On Wednesday 30th October, we went on a trip to experience what it was like in Narnia. We all
pretended that we were evacuees and characters in the story ’ The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe’ written by C.S. Lewis. Separated into groups, we got to experience different parts of the story. Our best part of the trip was eating snacks that were served on the set of the actual movie.
It was fun and we had a great time!

During the workshop, we worked together to decide on what we would like to include in our podcast for other schools in Southwark to inform them about road safety. We felt brave and so we decided to
sing a song for the podcast which was recorded in the recording studio. Lunch was provided and we had a great time meeting children
from other Southwark schools.
Children in Need 2019 ‘To raise money for Children in Need on Friday 15th November, we would like
everyone to wear something yellow for a donation of £1.
We are also going to have face painting and a cake sale after school, so we would be very grateful if you could also donate some cakes (without nuts) to sell and raise more money.
Thank you for supporting Children in Need!’

Head Boy and Head Girl
Digital Leaders
First, I want to thank my class for giving me the opportunity
to be the Head Boy at Snowsfields Primary School.
I think I will be a good Head Boy because I want to
represent the School’s values and show all the younger and older children how to behave
and be kind to each other.
It is my duty and everyone’s duty to show the younger
pupils kindness, model resilience and listen to all
their concerns.
The reason why I wanted to be Head Girl is because I am helpful. Last year, I was a
lunchtime helper for Nursery and Reception and I really enjoyed doing this because I love helping people be happy
as it also makes me happy. My class encouraged me to put myself
forward for the Head Girl’s role because they know that I like taking risks in life and stepping out of my comfort zone. I
want to be a good role model to my class and the rest of the school. I am very
lucky to be given this opportunity. I will help support others when they are down and help Snowsfields to continue
to be a positive place to be. I want other children and their parents to join our
Snowsfields family and see how excellent our school is.
I will make sure everyone is confident and his or her voice is heard. I will stand
up to anyone who might not be following our school rules and I will always show
respect for Snowsfields.
