SmartReceipt Installation and Deployment Options

Self-Installation

Self-installation is a common method used with brands across standardized environments. The self-install method leverages a suite of resources including an installation guide, downloadable installer, and a knowledgebase addressing troubleshooting and common questions during the installation process. Prior to installing SmartReceipt, the client should consult the point-of-sale appendix for their specific POS from the installation web site. Utilizing the information provided, the installation process should take approximately 15 minutes per terminal depending on the environment.

Silent Installation

The SmartReceipt installer can be silently installed in the background on the POS system. Typically environments with remote software deployment tools available for their POS systems leverage the silent deployment option. To perform a silent installation, the SmartReceipt installer will need to be downloaded to the POS and then executed, which can be accomplished using a simple batch script. If the environment is suitable and silent installation is desired, a SmartReceipt representative will work with you to provide all resources necessary including access to the downloadable installer and sample instruction. The SmartReceipt representative will consult with you to setup the right solution for your environment.

Golden Image

If you currently leverage a ‘Golden Image’ for new POS installations, SmartReceipt can be included. The SmartReceipt installation package is designed to operate with a ‘Golden Image’ deployment. SmartReceipt can be installed on the ‘Golden Image’ and setup for deployment across your enterprise. Every new terminal would need to be preconfigured with SmartReceipt and can be staged prior to ‘Go-Live’. Ask a SmartReceipt representative for more information if you think this option is right for you.

SmartReceipt Technician

SmartReceipt offers installation services for a nominal charge. A SmartReceipt representative will perform the installation remotely using standard remote connectivity tools. The site will need an active Internet connection and a representative available on site to assist the technician. The installation and all details will be discussed prior. SmartReceipt will complete the installation and provide any utilized resources including an installation guide, downloadable installer, and a link to the knowledgebase addressing troubleshooting and common questions. The installation process should take approximately 15 minutes per terminal once connected depending on the environment.
