Learn about accessing Data Forms and task lists and how to integrate your quesries with a variety of Microsoft Office products.

Course descriptionSmart View provides a common Microsoft Office interface designed specifically for Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI). Using Smart View, you can view, import, manipulate, distribute and share data in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint interfaces. It is a comprehensive tool for accessing and integrating EPM and BI content from Microsoft Office products. Topics covered on this course include setting up the Smart View connection manager, member selection and using data forms for entering, calculating and processing data. You will analyse data using the ad hoc features such as pivot, drill-down, keep only and remove only. You will also find out more about using data forms and task lists from within Smart View and how to integrate queries with a variety of Microsoft Office products.You will also gain experience in writing functions that allow you to read, write data and retrieve dimension labels and descriptions. Using functions allows you to develop structured reports utilising Smart View and Excel functionality.
