Smart phones WHAT ARE THEY?????
They are Internet enabled phones with many functions thereby allowing you to multi-task
Smart phones are affecting productivity, communication in the work place, social engagement, and education in a positive manner
Smart phones have enhanced the education sector, students are able to do all their work on the phones
That is explained in the research by A. Herrington from the university of Wollongong
Smart phones help students and employees to connect to other computers on a network or the Internet thereby allowing them to perform their tasks with having to be in the school area or work offices/buildings
About 80% of married couples in the U.S in 2009 meet through facebook, this shows that social engagement has been enhanced by the use of smart phones
The number of people using social networks e.g facebook, twitter and Hi5 has increased since people have Internet on their finger tips
Its functions In addition to the basic
phone capabilities, it allows you to send ant receive e-mail messages and access the Web
They communicate wirelessly with other devices or computers
Functions as a portable media player and include built-in cameras
Some have a touch screen, others mini keyboards
Offer a variety of application software e.g. word processing and games
Instant messaging is also available on phones like the black berry that provides BBM(blackberry messager)

From these findings I conclude that smart phones are affecting productivity, communication in the work place, social engagement, and have an effect in education
The statistical information shows the positive impact of smart phone through the demand increase over the years
