Power Patrol! Power Patrol! Start a Classroom Encourage your students to celebrate Earth Day, Every Day with help from the Power in Energy SM program. How? Create your own classroom Power Patrol! It’s a fun and easy way to teach your students about saving energy at school and at home. The Mission: Deputize your students to find ways to help your classroom save energy and teach your school how to go green! The Tasks: First download your Power Patrol Badges at http://bit.ly/gsjjtA. Then pass one out to every student in your class and assign one student to be your classroom’s Power Patrol Monitor. Let this student lead your class to: Make sure the classroom lights are turned off when the room is empty. Turn off computers at the end of the day. Close all windows to prevent drafts. Recycle paper and other materials. Make sure that the classroom sink faucet is turned all the way off. You can change your Power Patrol Monitor daily, weekly, or monthly.
