Brittain Farms

Our family would like to welcome you to the 6th Annual Gelbvieh Advantage Bull Sale. We hope everyone’s year went well even with the shortage of feed that ourselves along with many other producers experienced. Brittain Farms along with the Ungers and Fechos have put together an exciting set of yearling bulls that we feel are a true representation of our respective herds and what they have to offer the beef in-dustry. Brittain Farms is excited to offer this year’s crop of yearling bulls. The bulls are gaining well this year again and are looking very promising. We are feeding the bulls very much the same as in previ-ous years and feeding a very high forage diet along with a liquid feed supplement. The supplement stimulates digestive enzymes which allows us to feed fewer cereals and more forage while maintaining the rate of gains. We are able to then provide stock that are healthy and sound and can get out and work without an issue of being over fed and burnt out. The selection of bulls that we are offering this year have something to offer any cattlemen, from easy calving heifer bulls to more performance bulls or red, black, percentage or purebred. The past few years have been tough in the cattle business. An aggressive calf at birth with pounds at weaning is a more important than ever. This, along with functionality is still our focus. Temperament, feet, udders and easy fleshing are still our focus. We have on offer some performance bulls for the extra pounds at weaning as well as some “heifer types”. We had two daughters sell this past fall and both were in the top range of the sale. Dandy had many admirers during his successful show career and we believe he will add some great cattle to the Gelbvieh industry. We will offer Gem Dandy with full possession and will retain 50% semen interest. We feel this is truly an opportunity for seed stock producers.
