It has been two amazing years serving you all. Ive learned a lot and have had some amazing members to work with. Thank you for all of your support and willingness to serve each other. At our last chapter meeting, we only had 14 members show up. Those members went home with more than one second chance drawing prize. But we did have a great time, good food and prizes. Plus Cathy Frazier taught a very cute tree skirt design by Shara Reiner. Doesnt get much better then that, except we missed all those who were not able to come. Please turn in any receipts you may have for this year to Barbara ASAP. Remember if you dont turn them in, you will not be paid for the expense next year. All receipts need to have the same year of the year we are in for tax reasons. I will be having a transition meeting at my house January 4 at 11:00 a.m. for members who held a position this year in the chapter and for whose who will be taking on a position in 2019. Lunch will be served. There will be instructions for the members on their new positions, and a board meeting to follow, to get our new board started on the right foot. Before the meeting, Barbara Paetzel, Kaye Singer, Sheila Hughes and myself will go to the bank to transfer the accounts over to the new board members. There is lots to be done this day, but we will have an enjoyable time. Hope all those members who held a position this year will be able to come. Please RSVP me to let me know if you can come or not. If anyone isnt able to come, it will be your responsibility to get with the new chair person, to pass instructions, your books, or whatever you may have for the position. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! And hope to see you all at the Christmas party. Keep smiling, paint often and always be happy. December 2018 Newsletter

Pro g r am s Hello Ladies,

Well, we had our last class of this year. 2018 was a

great year! Thank you, ladies, for making it a success.

We have a great year for 2019 planned for you. (See

SSTDP’s 2019 project calendar on page 4 of this

newsletter.) Judy Gibson will be your new Programs

Chair, and I will be her Co - Chair. Please take it easy on

Judy. She’s a lot more timid than I am, but BEWARE! I

will still be there to crack the whip!!! Lol!!!

If you signed up for the November program and

weren’t able to attend, I will have the rest of the

instructions available to you at the Christmas party.

You will also be able to sign up for next year’s

programs, starting with January’s class that Sheila

Hughes is teaching. It is a Floral dish top design by GiGi

Smith Burns. The surface can be ordered from Shiela

Hughes and the cost of this paint- in is $10.00, plus the

cost of your surface.

I am looking forward

to seeing everyone at

the Christmas party.

Happy holidays!!!

Thank you,

Cathy Frazier

W ay s & M e a n s

Hi Ladies,

Thank you so much for all of your support and

participation in the raffle drawings this past year! We

earned $56.00 at November’s meeting. We also had lots

of winners for the second chance drawings. If you don’t

win a prize at the regular meetings, you probably will win

more than one at the second chance drawing at the end of

the year!

It has been a pleasure serving as your Ways & Means

Chairperson over the last

two years. I know our new Chairperson will have lots of

good ideas for fundraising and we will all support her as

you have so generously supported me.

Thanks again & look forward to seeing you at the

Christmas party.

Mary Davis

Pat Gettemeyer has

been feeling much better

and sounded great after

returning from her vacation

cruise. On December 3, her

kidney stone will be getting

laser treatment, so she is

looking forward to having that over with.

We wish Anita Miller a speedy recovery from her

broken leg sustained on Halloween night while going up

the steps in her home. She began physical therapy on

November 19.

Christmas is just around the corner and I am looking

forward to holiday fun at our annual party on the 10th!
