    Vision/Organizing Image

Five years after it’s in place, the Silver King Tramway becomes internationally recognized as a fundamentally unique connection between amountain city and it’s surrounding mountain environment.

The Tramway becomes an international draw to the Kootenays—not just Nelson. It’s one of the pillars of the regional economy. Access, yes, balso sensibility. It reflects what the place is about and the ethos of the people who live here.

Seen as something that’s truly unique. It’s not a resort. It’s an arterial connection between the mountain-top and the valley bottom. And everyone is involved in a multitude of experiences and activities that take place there that keep growing and evolving.
