While terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, the Aromor operations would have represented approximately $35 M of incremental sales to IFF’s results in 2013 on a proforma basis. The Innovation Company also has the Dedraflow range, which combines hydrogenated polyisobutene and dimethicone, to replace cyclometh- icones. Beantree (INCI: methylheptyl isostearate) from Alzo International is a naturally derived replacement for cyclomethicones. BASF’s Cetiol Sensoft (INCI: propylheptyl caprylate) is an alternative for pigment wetting and dispersing. It provides a similar skin feel to D5 in cosmetic applications. For hair care, Mirasil Bright from Bluestar Silicones is made of C15-19 alkane and diphenyl dimethicone to provide brightness and improve hair management. For skin care, Koda has Polymatrix 12, a mixture of polyacrylate-10, sodium acrylic acid/MA copolymer, caprylyl glycol and 1,2-hexanediol.
