Purpose: Signature Classes and Resources
Family Academy partners with teachers, instructional leaders, Title I, as well as, Student, Family, and Community Services to design Signature Classes that support student achievement by linking families to information and resources that help eliminate barriers to learning. We invite schools to work with families to review and select classes that help support student learning goals. Family participation is most successful when schools leverage classes as their own. Family Academy will support schools with content, knowledgeable facilitators, interpreters and class data. We will continue to expand class options as program resources allow. In addition to Signature Classes, please review the list of family support topics supported by local partner agencies and Connect with Kids Education Network. These resources can be found on pages 7-11. Schools will find a variety of family support class options and access to evidence-based video resources focused on improving the health, behavior and well-being of our students.
