This is an event run by the industry for the industry as
part of the UK-wide Working Well Together (WWT)
campaign.
Temporary works (TW) are the parts of a construction
project that are needed to enable the permanent
works to be built, it is the link between design and
construction. Usually the TW are removed after use,
for example access scaffolds, props, shoring, excavation
support, falsework and formwork, etc. TW may also
include hoarding, signage, fencing and road plates.
This event aims to promote awareness and knowledge
of the importance of managing temporary works and
to improve contractors’ management arrangements of
temporary works. The target audience is Supervisors,
Managers, Directors and those responsible for TW.
