    DISCUSSION POINT 1 - FORMALISATION

Formalisation of the society should we register the

Sherlock Holmes Society of India as a national society?

Creation of offices and appointment of appropriate

persons President, Chairman, Treasurer, Editors, EventCoordinators so far, a handful of people end up doing

    everything.

Designations for each office and time periods are also to

be decided. The Baker Street Irregulars assign canonicalnames to their members nice, isnt it, that we know

Wiggins, Black Peter and The Illustrious Client?

    DISCUSSION POINT 2 - MEETINGS

We need to meet more often. Now that Annual Meet#1 has kicked off, we definitely have to do this everyyear.

Additionally, we could have a short holiday to a placeof Holmesian relevance. Before we target somethingdifficult like Meiringen, we could start small withsomething like the Sherlock Hotel in Ooty.

Also and this has been suggested several times city-wise meets can be organised at a regional level.Sumalji and Satyajit have already done a DelhiChapter last month.

    DISCUSSION POINT 3 - FEES

At the moment, SHSI is totally non-monetary. Should

we introduce a fee-system? Most societies do.

The benefit of this would be that we can undertake

our own publications, organise our own events, create our own products, regularly give out prizes

etc., without one of us going bankrupt in the process.

The downside is that we will need at least one

responsible treasurer. Given how difficult it has been

to get the e-magazine out and to have this meet...

    DISCUSSION POINT 4 LONDON GUESTS

We have to throw them a party, at least. If anyone wants

to join their tour, please let us know and we will put you in

    touch with Louise.

Anyhow, for the party, we have to: Decide on a date and location to be discussed with Louise

Fix a venue and make arrangements

    Organise some fun activities

    Get them small gift/goodie bags

Most importantly, collect funds for the event

    Volunteers, please?
