Vocational Education and Training (VET)The University of Tasmania, trading as the Australian Maritime College (AMC), is a Registered Training Organisation and has a partnership agreement with AMC Search Ltd (AMCS). This enables AMC to award Statements of Attainment (subject to students holding a Unique Student Identifier* number) within its scope of registration, where short courses administered by AMCS have been deemed equivalent to units of competency.

Note: Statement of Attainments are not available to international residents.

*Unique Student Identifier (USI): All students undertaking nationally recognised training are required to have an Unique Student Identifier (USI). The USI is linked to the National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Data Collection. This means an individual’s nationally recognised training and qualifications gained anywhere in Australia, from different training organisations, will be kept all together.

Students have the option to directly apply for a USI at www.usi.gov.au or the RTO, upon receiving approval from the student, can apply on their behalf.

Only students who have provided or been issued with a USI can be issued a qualification or statement of attainment. If students do not have a USI no qualification or statement can be issued.
