Placement Report 2018-19 The Department of computer science established in 1989. Currently Shivaji University offers four

courses in Computer science namely M.Sc. (Master of Computer Science), M.C.A.(Master of

Computer Application), M.Phil. (Computer Science), Ph.D. (Computer Science) and

D.C.P.(Diploma in Computer Programming) Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Alumni of the

department have been working in the various areas like Teaching, IT / Software, Consulting,

Research & Development, Data Analytics and Financial Services etc.

Campus drive:

Placement officer of the Department sent the invitation for Campus Placement Recruitment

Drive to many companies. Few companies agreed to conduct the recruitment drive on campus and

few conducted the recruitment drive at their office for our students.

The key focus of the placement officer is to prepare students for their placement and internships.

Keeping the students well prepared for what they are likely to face in the corporate world is the

responsibility of every academic institute, and the team here at Computer Science Department takes

every necessary step to train and guide the students. Students are exposed to challenging and

research-based academics, and a host of sports along with cultural and organizational activities on

this campus.

The department is conducting a series of aptitude tests were conducted to improve the problem-

solving skills. The preparatory activities sourced information from various alumni, where the alumni

background was mapped according to student preference. Various department level activities were

conducted to cater to individual domain requirements.In addition, preparatory programs were

arranged to enhance the communication skills, group dynamics and interview skills. Overall, these

programs provided an insight into the job domains and prepared the job aspirants to face the

challenges of the future.

Placement Report 2014-15

The Department of computer science established in 1989. Currently Shivaji University offers

four courses in Computer science namely M.Sc. (Master of Computer Science), M.C.A.(Master

of Computer Application), M.Phil. (Computer Science), Ph.D. (Computer Science) and

D.C.P.(Diploma in Computer Programming) Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Alumni of the

department have been working in the various areas like Teaching, IT / Software, Consulting,

Research & Development, Data Analytics and Financial Services etc.

The placement season for the Batch of 2014-2015 was a resounding success, both in terms of

the companies that visited campus, as well as the variety of profiles that were offered to the

students. While there was continued participation from the past recruiters like Anar

Solutions,Pune, Nyati Technology, Pune etc.,

Campus drive:

Placement officer of the Department sent the invitation for Campus Placement

Recruitment Drive to many companies. Few companies agreed to conduct the recruitment

drive on campus and few conducted the recruitment drive at their office for our students.

Student Preparation for Placement:

The key focus of the placement officer is to prepare students for their placement and

internships. Keeping the students well prepared for what they are likely to face in the corporate

world is the responsibility of every academic institute, and the team here at Computer Science

Department takes every necessary step to train and guide the students. Students are exposed to

challenging and research-based academics, and a host of sports along with cultural and

organizational activities on this campus.

The department is conducting series of aptitude tests were conducted to improve the problem-

solving skills. The preparatory activities sourced information from various alumni, where the

alumni background was mapped according to student preference. Various department level

activities were conducted to cater to individual domain requirements.In addition, preparatory

programs were arranged to enhance the communication skills, group dynamics and interview

skills. Overall, these programs provided an insight into the job domains and prepared the job

aspirants to face the challenges of the future.
