Eye-Point Technology® simulates the human eye in every angle, presciption, and field of vision. These techniques enable Shamir to create the most sophisticated progressive lens surfaces based upon thousands of points of data.

We know that in order to get the most precise optical measurements, it cannot be assumed that the optical power of the lens alone is the same that the eye “sees” through the lens.

Knowing this, we utilize Eye-Point Technology® to simulate exactly how the human eye will see through the lens and then calculate the optical performance of thousands of locations covering the lens surface, taking into account the following parameters:

• Lens Index Refraction• Rx

• Lens Center Thickness• Pupil Distance

Shamir Genesis HD introduces patients to a budget-friendly Freeform® technology solution that offers a semi-personalized lens option for any prescription.

The two fundamental technologies in Shamir Genesis HD are Eye-Point Technology® and Digital Freeform®, which together improve peripheral vision, and enhanced visual clarity in every visual zone.

Shamir’s Freeform® gives eye care professionals an opportunity to provide their patients with a semi-personalized back-surfaced lens at an affordable price.

Freeform® combined with Eye-Point Technology® gives Shamir Genesis HD the ability to be semi-personalized to the wearer’s unique vision requirements.

The back surface design widens the patient’s field of view by 20% and eliminates unwanted astigmatism, swim and peripheral distortions, providing maximized vision.
