MAY 13: Many thanks to Mr. Grimberg for organizing our Fatima devotions last Saturday. It was a great tribute to Our Lady that so many people participated. We will be hav-ing special devotions on the 13th of each month from now through October.
CONGRATULATIONS: Seton School had four participants in the Virginia State Pro-Life Speech Contest: Grant Man-tooth, Marita Ostrich, Meridyth Rosato, and Jodi Vallimont. Grant Mantooth finished first and Marita Ostrich second. This is the third consecutive year that a Seton student has won first place. Grant will be participating in the national contest in July in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We will also invite him to give his speech at the June 12 PRO meeting.
13 REASONS: As a follow-up to the Jupiter Ed message sent by Mrs. O’Herron on the Netflix series, “13 Reasons,” I strongly urge parents to read Mary Beth Bonacci’s column on this topic in the most recent Arlington Catholic Herald. If you don’t receive the Herald at home, copies are available in most parishes or you may read the article at catholicher-ald.com in the opinion section.
MAY CROWNING: Congratulations to the May Crowning Court: Elizabeth Aveni, May Queen; 12th grade attendant, Carolyn Karcher; 11th grade, Rosie Hall; 10th grade, Rita Rog-ers; 9th grade, Reagan Kammerdeiner; 8th grade, Lizzie Hori-uchi; 7th grade, Clare Witter. Thanks to all who participated in the lovely May Crowning ceremony.
JUNE 12 PRO MEETING: Our speaker will be Father Fran Peffley, who will speak on “The Top Ten Ways to Keep Your Children Catholic.” Come early for refreshments and social-izing.
AWARDS NIGHTS: The annual junior high Awards Night and 8th grade graduation is Thursday, June 1, beginning at 7:30 PM. Classroom dress code for 8th graders, activities dress code or better for others. Join us to celebrate the 8th grade class of 2017. The annual high school Awards Night is Friday, June 2, beginning at 7:30 PM. Activities dress code or better.
HIGH SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT: Honor the Class of 2017 at their Graduation Mass and Commencement Ceremo-ny on Monday, June 5, at All Saints Church, beginning with Mass at 7:30 PM. The celebrant of the Mass is Father Noah Morey and the homilist is Father James Searby. The com-mencement speaker is EWTN Radio personality Gloria Purvis. Sunday best dress, please.

You
Many, many thanks to Mrs. Lynn O’Neill who graciously came back to host yet again another magnificent senior banquet even though her youngest grad-uated last year! Thank you, junior par-ents and junior servers, who helped make the senior banquet a great success.

Ink Cartridge Recycling Program
After 8 years of getting free reams of paper for Seton, it’s time to pass the baton. If you would like an easy way to earn PRO Points by recycling 10 computer ink cartridges per month to earn $20 store credit at Staples (which can then be used to buy copy paper), please contact Mary Kelly at 703-257-7203 or [email protected].
If you have not yet purchased your Seton Musical 25th Anniversary T-shirt, we still have a limited number available! Cost is $15 and are available with long or short sleeves. If interested, please contact Francine Orr at [email protected].
End of the Year Stuff
Attention all Students: Books are DUE on the day of the final exam! If you do not turn in your books by the day of the final, your account will be charged the book price. Make sure you clean out all belongings from your locker before their last exam. Please turn in notebooks with usable paper to Mr. Scheetz. Finally, the office will be closed from June 19th -June 30th. Thank you for your help with this matter.
All Seniors that haven't done so already need to contact Mrs McIntyre with their intentions for next year so she will know where to send your final transcripts.
