Rhythm & Timing
• Rhythm:
–– MovementMovement or variation characterized by the regular regular recurrence or alternationrecurrence or alternation of different quantities or conditions in all 3 planesin all 3 planes
– Rhythm is the MOVEMENT in all 3 planesin all 3 planes
– Rhythm is our ability to “turn onturn on” and “turn offturn off” with ‘flow’
– Rhythm is the GLOBAL view of the movement as a whole in in all 3 planesall 3 planes
– Without the proper rhythm [movement (or exercise)] we don’t get the optimal timing in all 3 planesin all 3 planes

• Timing:

– Timing is the SEQUENCING of the actions within the global movement in all 3 planesin all 3 planes
• Joint motions
– Timing is the REACTION to the forces in all 3 planesin all 3 planes
• “Loads” [or turns-on] the myofascial system
