For one to be saved, added to the Lord’s church and identified as a Christian, the Bible tells us one must: Hear the Word of God (Rom. 10:17 ). Have faith in God (Heb. 11:6 ). Repent of your sins (2 Cor. 7:10 ). Confess your faith in Christ (Rom.10:9 ,10 ). Be baptized for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38 ; Mark 16:16 ). After one becomes a Christian, they must continue to live faithfully to God. Your salvation can be canceled if the costs were not counted before becoming a Christian. Some keys to living faithfully include: Regularly attend the services of the church (Acts 20:7 ; Heb. 10:25 ). Worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24 Col. 3:17 ). Pray frequently (1 Thess 5:17 ; James 5:16 ). Develop good qualities of your character (Gal. 5:22,23; Eph. 6:13-18; Phil. 4:8; 2 Pet. 1:5-8).
