Did You Know?

Worship Committee A. Membership: Six (6) members. Pastor,

Minister of Worship & Music, Drama Director, and any other minister at the

committee’s discretion are to be ex-

officio members.

B. Responsible for:

1. Reviewing format of regular

worship services and initiating

change where appropriate.

2. Initiating worship services for

special occasions such as Maundy

Thursday, Christmas Eve, Fourth of

July, etc.

3. Working with pastor and other staff to assure quality of all worship

services.

C. A chairperson shall be elected by the

committee each year.

D. The members of this committee will

prepare a budget for special worship

needs. This budget should include

expected pulpit supply.

E. In absence of the pastor, subject to

advice from him, the Worship

Committee will provide pulpit supplies. F. In the event of an interim period when

the church is without a pastor, this

committee shall be in charge of securing

someone until a new pastor is called.

G. Take charge of services in the absence

of the pastor.

H. Entertain any pulpit guest.
