Indeed, NOF’s biennial fundraising gala celebrating 10 years of advancing neurosurgical care in underserved communities was a spectacular success. As guest, Tracy, puts it “…apparent in every bite, each and every artwork, and in the extraordinary attention to detail! What an all encompassing experience!”. Bidding for silent auction items started 2 weeks prior and ended 2 weeks after the event, which brought in more funds. With that, NOF exceeded it’s fundraising goal for the night and is only a $1000 shy of its fundraising goal for 2019/2020. Cheers! The success behind Filipiniana is the gala committee lead by Dr. Pamela Rama and Mrs. Carmina Aldana. NOF is, also, grateful for it’s partner, Jax Filipino Chefs, and it’s major contributors - Trinity Love Hoblit Foundation, Ms. Roseann Duran, Dr. & Mrs. Philipp Aldana, KLS Martin, Dr. & Mrs. Gordon Deen, The Lisa Barton Team, Mr. & Mrs. Gary Schumacher, Dr. & Mrs. Ricardo Hanel, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Cheng, Lisa & Nick Kavalieros, and Wayport Travels. Big thank you, of course, to all of you who continue to support the cause. The video entitled “A Decade of Giving” courtesy of Gemstone Media, Inc. provided a moving narrative for the night. This was supplemented by a personal thank you from Dr. Astri Avianti (Edu Awardee 2014) from Indonesia and a surprise Skype thank you call from the folks of VSMMC, Cebu, Philippines. As another guest chimed “it will be spoken of by many for years to come!”. Thank you, Jacksonville!
