Let’s Meet Fred—from Oscoda
Kathie Hoppe, the Friends Together Liaison at the Cancer Center, first met Fred and his wife during one of her visits to our friends receiving treatment. While chatting with patients, Kathie discovered a need for our Van Service. Fred and his wife were so excited to have such a great opportunity to partici-pate as they have a 7 month old grandson downstate in a hospital and the mom
needed help with her other children. While trying to figure out how to run both north for her husband and south for her kids, Fred’s wife found our van service was truly a godsend. Fred decided to have treatment in Alpena instead of West Branch because of the Transportation Services Friends Together provides. He has warmly referred to it as our ‘shuttle service.’ As you can see, our hard earned dollars are helping people from Rogers City to Oscoda - From Barton City to Mikado - From Atlanta to Millersburg every single day.
Thank you for making a difference!
