Another excellent sale here in Ok Falls as 300 head of cattle hit the sale ring. Calves and yearlings today made up the sale receipts. Mark Pender-graft set the stage for the butcher cow trade with 1675 lb. cows at 123.50. Whitetail Farms butcher cows 1365 lb. also traded to 123.50 and 1545 lb. cows to 123.75. Ian & Bev Smith had 1145 lb. young butch-er cows mark 136.00. Clarence Schneider had 2085 lb. butcher bulls top 114.00. George Hartskamp star ted the action in our year ling trade with 913 lb. Angus cross steers marking 249.50. Ian & Colleen Hutcheon saw their 707 lb. yearling steers notch 279.00. Philip & Myrna Quinn saw their 783 lb. heifers notch 247.50. The Currie Ranch 818 lb. powerful Hereford steers powered to 252.00, their 768 lb. steers 267.00. The PaVan Ranch tested our calf trade today with a top pen of calves. Their 566 lb. KAMLOOPS SALE SEPTEMBER 15TH 2015 Well it was a wall of cattle in Kamloops Tuesday as 1100 head of cattle hit the sale ring. It was an excellent split of calves and yearlings and the buyers loved them. Peter Deuling from Lumby put the power to our butcher trade with butcher bulls marking 162.00. Paul & Karen Caissie 1275 lb. butcher cows raced to 128.00, their 1550 lb. cows saw 128.50. Kitzel Cattle Co. had 1580 lb. butcher bull marked 163.00. Bob Marshall from Salmon Arm had 1470 lb. cows at 129.00, their 1330 lb. cows to 131.75. Dirk Vandermeer saw his heavy 1625 lb. cows top at 129.00. The Neds Creek Ranch 1584 lb. cows 127.75. Today the Deleeuw Ranch showcased 2 powerful liner loads of steers. The 1st load of 66 steers weighing 964 lb. traded to 245.00, the second load weighing 917 lb. raced to 251.50. Attention Producers Important deadline reminder: During the summer months you are busy looking after your crops and farm products. But while you are busy on the farm there are some important deadlines the AgriStability administration would like to remind you about. Those who are enrolled in the 2014 program year please note: The deadline to submit the 2014 AgriStability/AgriInvest Harmonized form (without penalty) is September 30th 2015.

Producers can still submit their 2014 AgriStability/AgriInvest Harmonized forms (with penalty until December 31st 2015.

Penalty for late filing $500.00 per month; the maximum penalty $1500.00.

Producers who miss the December 31st 2015 deadline will not be eligible for the 2014 program year.
