psychology, social work or a very closely related field plus one year of counseling experience; B) Graduation from an accredited New

York State registered or regionally accredited 4 year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or Behavioral

Science or related field and 2 years of experience in counseling; C) an equivalent combination of training and experience as described

above. Preforms intake screening, and evaluation as indicated. Participates in weekly staff conferences and discusses patients and

Psychiatric Social Worker – Minimum Qualifications: A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one

accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s degree in social work, AND possession of license

as a licensed master social worker (LMSW) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), or eligible to apply for the LMSW or LNSW-

Limited Permit issued by the New York State Department of Education at time of examination and/or appointment. Possession of an

LMSW within one year of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. Conducts individual and family intakes and

assessments. Develops treatment plan to address an individual’s of family’s psychosocial needs. Provides ongoing individual, group

and family psychotherapy under clinical supervision. Provides crisis intervention services to individuals and families.
