What is Precision?
The statement offers guidelines regarding the type of variability that can be expected among test results when the method is used in one or more reasonably competent laboratories.
Precision—the closeness of agreement among test results obtained under prescribed conditions- ISO 9272: 2005
A precision statement allows potential users of the test method to assess, in general terms, its usefulness in proposed applications.

Why choose 2010-2016?
A Youden Plot was used to analyse Round Robin data from 1975 to 2010.
A web-based system produced in-house by the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) for
analyzing data obtained from the Proficiency Testing (PT) program

A Youden Plot was used to analyse Round Robin data from 1975 to 2010.
Youden Analysis which has been previously used in the interlaboratory comparison program for the SMR/TSR was unable to provide the precision statement of the test method directly as required by ISO/TR 9272 and ASTM E691 respectively
E-Precision
A web-based system produced in-house by the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) for
analyzing data obtained from the Proficiency Testing (PT) program

The e-Precision which is a software system produced by MRB and capable of hastening the process of organizing ITP or PT programs, from registration to delivery of PT reports, online. It is also capable of analyzing PT data and treating outliers or bad data for generation of a precision statement.

• Due to enormous and massive data in the study, the presentation only focus on Reproducibility limit (R ) .

Objective • To analyse the performance of SMR Laboratories
(2010-2016) based on the precision statement generated by the e-Precision.
• To demonstrate that the e-Precision is a reliable system in generating precision values in terms of repeatability and reproducibility.
• Evaluation of the performance – important for monitoring laboratories’ continuous performance ( R).

Summary
• The Analysis have shown that all the SMR laboratories performances in terms of reproducibility, (R) from 2010 to 2016 are within 95% (2SD).
• The analysis obtained has demonstrated that e-Precision is capable of generating reliable values in terms of reproducibility (R ).
