WARNING
Read the instructions carefully before using the machine and retain this operations manual for future reference. The manufacturer declines all responsibility if the standards set out in this manual are not followed. The machine is a polisher and dryer for cutlery only, and is not warrantied against unintended usage. The machine should only be used for the purpose for which it was designed. Any other use is inappropriate and dangerous.
INSTALLATION
Improper installation may damage the cutlery polisher. Please note the following during initial installation and whenever the cutlery polisher is moved.
UNPACKING 1. Cut the external strips, removing the cardboard container by pulling up. Remove the external
polystyrene. 2. Take the machine down from the pallet. 3. Open the upper cover and take the wooden piece away from the interior. Also remove the
polystyrene and cardboard pieces from the sides of the unit. 4. Remove the three black screws from the upper cavity and remove the sawdust bag from inside.
Replace the black screws into the upper cavity.
POSITION 1. Place the unit on a flat and dry surface. 2. Activate the front wheel brakes to prevent the machine from moving (SCP700 Model Only). 3. Do not move the machine during operation.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION 1. Ensure you only connect the cutlery polisher to a grounded mains connection 2. Verify you are connecting the machine to the 220-240V Power Grid. 3. Ensure that electrical and thermal protection is in place. 4. Do not start or operate the machine if the electrical plug is damaged.
ON/OFF 1. Check that the machine is assembled
correctly and connected to the 220-240V AC Power Grid.
2. To start the machine, push the switch to the ON Position (I).
3. To stop the machine, push the switch to the OFF Position (O)

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before operating the machine, read these instructions carefully:
REFILLING OF THE GRANULES
1. This polisher operates on vegetables granules made specially from the cob of corn. 2. Pour the granulate bag through the opening entry 3. Push the ON Button and the granulate will be distributed inside the feeding tray. 4. It is important that the vegetable granulate is always dry, completely clean and without any dirt,
bacteria or micro-organisms in order to get the best usage of the polisher. You may sterilize the granules in a hot oven occasionally to maintain this.
AMOUNT OF GRANULATE SCP3000: 3.2Kg Each Time SCP7000: 9Kg Each Time
OPERATION
Once the granules have been filled into the polisher, the machine is ready to be used: 1. Make sure the switch is in the OFF Position and connect the machine to the electrical mains. 2. Push the Power Switch to the ON Position and the polisher will start immediately. 3. Ensure the cutlery is damp (preferably right after washing) to ensure effectiveness. 4. Feed the cutlery into the upper opening (Groups of 5 pieces for the SCP3000, Groups of 12 for
the SCP7000). A small interval should be left to ensure the machine does not back up. 5. Once the cutlery has finished polishing and drying, it will drop into the output tray.

CHANGING THE VEGETABLE GRANULATE
The useful life of the vegetable granulate is approximately two months with three daily working hours. This is only an approximation and will vary between each customer. It will be visible when the granulate requires changing as is will get smaller and smaller with until it is similar to powder/dust indicating that it needs to be changed. The SCP3000 is supplied with three 3.2Kg Bags totalling 10Kg. - Each change of granules in the SCP3000 requires a single 3.2Kg Bag.
The SCP7000 is supplied with three 9Kg Bags totalling 27Kg. - Each change of granules in the SCP7000 requires a single 9Kg Bag.
To change the granulate: 1. Ensure the machine is in the OFF position and disconnect the machine from mains power 2. Raise the machine cover and you will see a piece of transparent polycarbonate held in place by
three black screws. Remove the screws and the cover. 3. Extract the old granules/sawdust from the machine by scooping it out or by using a vacuum
cleaner (recommended). 4. Run the machine with no granules for 5 minutes to circulate hot air and allow the UV light to
eliminate any traces of germs/bacteria. 5. After all of the granules are removed, replace the plastic cover and three black screws. 6. Take a new bag of granules and pour it into the feed opening. Run the machine briefly to
distribute the granules within the feeding tray.
The change of granules is now complete and you can continue using the machine.
MAINTENANCE
It is essential to take care of the machine in order to enhance its working life. Before starting any cleaning or maintenance operations ensure that the on/off switch is in the off position and that the unit is disconnected from the mains power supply. To clean the exterior of the machine use a small cloth and glass cleaner / stainless steel polish. Do not use any of these chemicals on the interior of the machine. To clean the interior of the machine use a neutral cleaning soap (food safe), warm water, and a small cloth. As the machine operates based on vibration, regular maintenance is needed to keep the machine in working order: - Every 6 Months tighten the screws which hold the hot air turbine the UV lamp in place - Every 6 Months remove the stainless steel front cover from the machine and tighten all visible
screws. Replace the stainless steel front cover. - Change the granulate as appropriate.

FAULT FINDING
Some of the common operational problems and faults are easy to troubleshoot and should be attempted before contacting Semak Support.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The dryer doesn’t work Is the dryer plugged in?
Connect the dryer to a grounded mains outlet
Power switch on? Turn the power switch on
Sawdust/Granules going outside the unit
Does the hot air turbine work correctly?
Place a tablespoon full of sawdust near the exit and check if the turbine
expels the sawdust to verify if it works correctly.
Are you feeding the machine excess cutlery
too fast?
An excess of cutlery can interfere with the drying process. Reduce the amount of cutlery you are feeding into the machine, and increase the
interval between feedings.
Are the sawdust/granules past their used by?
It is possible that the sawdust has lost its granulation, if so change the
granules.
Are the granules too humid?
If you observe the sawdust has a high degree of humidity, leave the
machine working without cutlery for around half an hour to clear the
excess humidity.
Has the cutlery been washed correctly?
If the cutlery has not been cleaned correctly and still has a slight residue, this can prevent the
machine from operating correctly.
Is the cutlery getting blocked in the machine?
Are you feeding the machine correctly?
An excess of cutlery prevents the machine from working correctly.
Is there a piece obstructing the others?
Disconnect the machine at the power point and carefully remove
