Seeing the Horizon: CAMPAIGN ’16-’18 June 2016 Vol. 37 No. 1 Chris McNaboe — Chief Executive Officer Kathleen McNaboe — Organizational Manager 37 years ago Chris McNaboe and Kathleen McNaboe saw a future for people with disabilities that did not exist at that time. Chris and Kathleen knew that people who have disabilities would enjoy what most of us take for granted: having countless opportunities to experience life, enjoy friendships, work hard and realize goals, all with a feeling of belonging and being accepted. Thanks to the many people who supported our early vision for Horizons and to all those who have joined us on our journey, today we pause and, once again, see a new horizon. This new horizon spans a view that includes the last four buildings on the campus brought to the level of quality that people have come to know and expect of Horizons. Three state-of-the- art buildings— a Lodge, a Villa and an Apprentice Quad—will replace outdated, inefficient cabins.

June 2016 Vol. 37 No. 1Chris McNaboe — Chief Executive OfficerKathleen McNaboe — Organizational Manager

37 years ago Chris McNaboe and Kathleen McNaboe saw a future forpeople with disabilities that did not exist at that time.

Chris and Kathleen knew that people who have disabilities would enjoywhat most of us take for granted: having countless opportunities to experiencelife, enjoy friendships, work hard and realize goals, all with a feeling of belongingand being accepted.

Thanks to the many people who supported our early vision for Horizonsand to all those who have joined us on our journey, today we pause and, onceagain, see a new horizon.

This new horizon spans a view that includes the last four buildings on thecampus brought to the level of quality that people have come to know andexpect of Horizons.

Three state-of-the-art buildings—a Lodge, a Villaand an ApprenticeQuad—willreplace outdated,inefficient cabins.

Thank You Dionne Fund for SpecialNeeds at New Canaan CommunityFoundation & New CanaanCommunity FoundationThese two grantors paired up to support the“Sleep Right in 2016 Project.” This generousgrant support enables us to phase out theuse of old style “camp” beds due to theirsmall size and lack of substance and replacethem with larger mattresses with sturdywooden frames. Our campers will sleepbetter. Thank You.
