Construction of LRBT HospitalKhanewal

Construction of LRBT HospitalOdigram, Swat

Coping with the ever-growingpatient volumeKhanewalConstruction of the OPD Complex is progressing well and isexpected to complete ahead of schedule before the end ofthe year. With its opening, the patients will benefit immenselyas there will be efficient flow of patients for differentexaminations, comfortable waiting areas in variousdepartments, an additional major and a minor operationtheatre to provide for the increasing number of patients thatvisit the hospital and other examination and treatment rooms.

LarFor quite sometime the need to expand the present operationtheatre was being felt as the waiting period for patientsrequiring surgery was being extended due to lack of capacity. We are grateful to one of our loyal donors Mr. Salman Ahmedbased in Bahrain with whose generous support and assistance,a new operation theatre with a 66% increased capacity ispresently under construction. We expect this project tocomplete by early July.

Odigram , SwatThe pace of work at the Hospital is progressing satisfactorily andis expected to be completed in the third quarter of next yearwhen this purpose built 40 bed hospital will open its doors. Inthe interim period we had to shift our temporary set up fromBarikot, where it was housed in a portion of the TehsilHeadquarters Hospital (THQ) to hired premises in Saidu Sharif asthe THQ required the space that was being used by us. This stepwas taken for continuity of our services to poor patients whocome from long distances in the hope of getting free eye care.
