學 校 背 景  本校創辦於二零零四年,隸屬香港循道衛理聯合教會,為其第十所開辦的小學。全校共 30 班。

Our HistoryOur school was established in September, 2004 and sponsored by

the Methodist Church, Hong Kong. We are the tenth primary school under this organization. We have thirty classes in total.

1. 設有多元化的活動,透過晨間、午間、展藝組及課外活動,當中包括管弦樂團、詩班、戲劇、藝術小組、體育舞蹈、小型網球、數學精英班及不同之制服團隊等,讓學生找出個人興趣,發展潛能。

  本科旨在為學生提供相關的學習經驗,讓他們有能力面對瞬息萬變的世界,及應付新世紀的挑戰。透過手、腦並用的學習經歷及解決問題的過程,培養學生的創造力。課程的設計著重培養學生的探究精神,及發展學生「學會學習」的能力。

Mission:GS aims to provide students with learning experiences that enable them to meet and overcome the challenges

brought about by the rapidly changing world in the new century. Through hands-on and minds-on learning experiences and problem-solving processes, it promotes creativity. It fosters students’ inquiry spirit and the development of skills for learning to learn.

特色:

1. 科學科技教育 : 透過科學實驗、探究及遊戲,培養學生的發問精神,並提升科學探究的興趣及技巧。

2. 高階思維課程 : 透過學習不同的思維工具,幫助學生發展高階思考能力,以協助他們面對世界資訊急速發展及層出不窮的社會問題,建構正面的價值觀。

Apart from the basic facilities such as computer rooms and library, our school is equipped with two mini-tennis courts and a playground which enables various kinds of ball games, handball, volleyball and basketball. The language room even allows students to learn the three spoken languages more effectively.

The teaching team:There are six levels and thirty classes in the academic year 2013-2014.

數 學 課 程 Mathematics

理念:

  本校以 4D 數學模式作為本科課程發展的方向。

發現: 透過老師的提問、學生的探索、日常生活的觀察等,引起學生的動機和興趣。

討論: 經過探索的階段,讓學生與老師、同學或自己的討論,嘗試解釋或解答之前的問題。

定義: 總結討論的結論,並以數學語言帶出當中的數學概念和定義。

發展: 就有關定義從問題的深入性、趣味性或生活性作進一步發展,進入另一個 4D 學習模型。

  課堂設計以此模式為主,並強調數學的概念性、趣味性和應用性。

Discovery: To motivate students’ interest in learning Maths through questioning, self-inquiry and daily observations.

理念:

  為建立一所名副其實的基督教學校,看重培育生命,學校設立了「生命教育統籌會」,藉以發展及推動生命培育的工作,促進學生生命成長,建立老師關愛學生成長文化。

Mission:As a Christian School, we emphasize

life education and therefore we set up a“Life Education Committee”.

特色:

  按著各級學生的成長需要,生命教育統籌會為學生編訂一個以級為本的「六愛成長架構」,讓老師及家長能掌握各級培育重點,以助他們有系統地培育學生成長。

  本年度繼續推動「生命導航者」計劃。

  在這個計劃中,校方會安排指定時間予「生命導航者」與學生作生命交流。

formed a framework called "JOYFUL". This framework lets teachers and parents know the psychological characteristics of students at each level.

普教中計畫 ( 小一至小三 )

理念:

  為建立一所名副其實的基督教學校,看重培育生命,學校設立了「生命教育統籌會」,藉以發展及推動生命培育的工作,促進學生生命成長,建立老師關愛學生成長文化。

Mission:As a Christian School, we emphasize

life education and therefore we set up a“Life Education Committee”.

特色:

  按著各級學生的成長需要,生命教育統籌會為學生編訂一個以級為本的「六愛成長架構」,讓老師及家長能掌握各級培育重點,以助他們有系統地培育學生成長。

  本年度繼續推動「生命導航者」計劃。

Characteristics:The Life Education Committee has

formed a framework called "JOYFUL". This framework lets teachers and parents know the psychological characteristics of students at each level.

Apart from the basic facilities such as computer rooms and library, our school is equipped with two mini-tennis courts and a playground which enables various kinds of ball games, handball, volleyball and basketball. The language room even allows students to learn the three spoken languages more effectively.

學 校 背 景  本校創辦於二零零四年,隸屬香港循道衛理聯合教會,為其第十所開辦的小學。全校共 30 班。

Our HistoryOur school was established in September, 2004 and sponsored by

the Methodist Church, Hong Kong. We are the tenth primary school under this organization. We have thirty classes in total.
