About our Partners Global Corporate College (GCC) — Founded by leaders of entrepreneurial
colleges and universities, this unique organization leverages the best learning
industry practices with the resources of accredited academic institutions.
Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) — AACC is a fully accredited,
public, two-year institution offering credit programs leading to an associate’s
degree, certificate or a letter of recognition. Credit programs are available
both through courses provided on campus as well as online. Students
may prepare for transfer to a four-year institution or for an immediate career.
AACC also offers extensive lifelong learning opportunities and non-credit
continuing education to those seeking career training or retraining, working
to boost basic skills or pursuing new areas of interest.

WHY? In its mission, Goodwill® is committed to helping people to reach
their full potential through learning and the power of work. This program
brings that mission to Goodwill employees by creating opportunities for
them to advance their education.
WHAT? Goodwill’s social enterprise management certificate program
allows Goodwill employees to earn college credit toward certificates and/or
associate’s degrees for attending certified Goodwill Industries International
(GII) management training programs delivered in the workplace and for work
experience on the job. Courses are offered at a significant cost savings.
WHO? The program is open to all Goodwill
employees, typically at the assistant manager
and manager levels.
WHERE? Students learn through a
combination of in-person, local, Goodwill-
led management training programs and
online courses offered by Anne Arundel
Community College.
HOW? The social enterprise
management certificate can be earned
in as little as 14 months, with the
learner earning 18 credits. Any credits
earned in this program are fully
accredited and transferable.
BPA 275 – Internship in Business 1 (GII-Anne Arundel online course)
BPA 142 – Principles in Management (GII core management development program)
BPA 111 – Business and Its Environment
BPA 162 – Business Communications
BPA 231 – Introduction to Social Entre-preneurship and Nonprofit Management
BPA 134 – Retail Management (GII donated goods/retail management
development program)
**Alternatives: Students not completing either the GII core management development or donated goods/retail management courses may substitute ONE of the following Anne Arundel online courses:

BPA 120 – Small Business Management
BPA 135 – Customer Service
