APARTMENT

CONCEPT

The idea behind this seating/storageunit was to maximize space and seatingopportunities for the inhabitants of theapartment. By creating a third cushion and increasing the angle of the seats, it allows for more people to sit on one furniture piece. Adding side �oating side tables allows for the client to purchase less casegoods. Since the apartment selected is an open �oor plan with no walls clearly separating the spaces between living room, dining and kitchen, this large sectional with its integrated bookshelf creates a natural room divider between eating area and living area.

BENEFITS

In a typical sectional,there is always a space lost.

When sitting next to each other, the angle formed by the sectional is not comfortable to have an intimate conversation or for several people to sit next to each other.

Side tables integrated into design

Sliding drawers under seating to maximize storage

Optimal angle for comfortable leg space and to �t the mostamount of people on one seating unit.

Angle used as storage/bookshelf and as side table forthose sitting in the middle cushion. Storage unit allows furniture piece to be used as room divider in loft styleapartment.
