First Assignment! (Due this Friday) 12 Were you absent
yesterday? Dont forget to get the assignments!
Slide 14
Absence Procedures Students who are absent should pick up their
missed work from the Absent? crate at the front of the room. Work
will be organized into folders labeled with the days for the week.
Find your work in the folder marked for the day you missed. For
example, if you missed yesterday you can find your work in Mondays
folder. Work missed should be picked up before or after class, NOT
during class. Missed work should be completed by the end of the
term.
Slide 15
Restroom Procedures Two bathroom passes per term from the 7 th
grade team. Any restroom passes left at the end of term can be
turned back in for extra credit. You have three full minutes
between classes and a break after lunch. You may not ask to use the
restroom until independent practice (unless it is an emergency or
you have a note on file with the school). If you have an emergency,
please raise two fingers so that I know that it is an emergency and
I will let you go (this counts as one of your passes).
Slide 16
Sharpening Pencils Pencils should only be sharpened at the
BEGINNING of class. You should always have two pencils ready to go
at the start of class. The pencil sharpener is located on Ms.
Lonsdales desk. If you need to borrow a pencil please pick one up
on the way in to class but make sure that it gets returned on your
way out of class.

Pencil Manager In charge of letting students borrow pencils or
sharpening pencils. At the start of every class, goes to the pencil
bin. If another student needs a pencil sharpened, he/she will hand
it to the Pencil Manager to sharpen quickly. If a student does not
have a pencil for the day, they will ask the Pencil Manager for
one. The Pencil Manager will sign their name/date on the pencil
sign-out sheet and then give them a pencil from the pencil bin. At
the end of every class, the pencil manager collects the pencils
from anyone who borrowed one, and checks off their name on the
pencil sign-out sheet.
Slide 25
Technology Manager On days that we use the laptops, the
Technology Manager makes sure that every group has a laptop and
that it has enough battery power. If we are turning in laptops at
the end of class, the Technology Manager makes sure that everyone
turns in their laptops and that they are plugged in. The Technology
Manager also passes out and collects calculators on days that we
use them.
Slide 26
Supply Manager On days that we use supplies (other than
calculators), the Supply Manager makes sure that those supplies are
handed out to every student at the start of class. If we have
worksheets to pass out, the supply manager passes them out and
collects them (unless told otherwise).
Slide 27
Board Manager Cleans the board at the end of class when
signaled and recalibrates the mimio.
